I'd like to hear how the Athlon compares to the other scopes. I had not even heard of them until about four months ago. I didn't here about them till this weekend. But from the price and what really good reviews (limited reviews) I guess Im putting some faith into it.

Good luck

Well I went ahead and changed the game. Lance sorry I would of swing by to take a look at your Kahles, but you haven't responded on the forum for a while, and if I remembered from our dove hunt you were on a elk hunt. Chris (Douglus Gun Guy) texted me a pic of your daughters elk so that confirmed you were gone, but congrats on the elk. Im sure we will get the story. I was leaning toward the Stiener but after texting to Chris he told me about the Athlon Crous 4.5-29x56 FFP MOA Scope. A Newer company that wants to compete with the big boys. You can find those scopes for 1699.00 on line. Not a ton of reviews but there were a good amount. Tracking was dead on no problems, you can see that on you tube, and 2 different reviews from a couple of people compared them to the Kahles gen II k624i and said in their opinion the glass was the same but kahles retical are better. Ive only seen good reviews (small amount of reivews) but nothing bad. So its shipping this way. I know your a glass guy but if you ever want to compare glass from the this scope let me know or PM me. I already bought it but interested to see it compare to your other nice scopes.

Looked at Manners website. I didn't see that they inlet for a Model 7 on their stock builder. I will try to contact them. Chances are I will start with the thumbhole that I already have and try to lighten it up a bit. Then as I can save a little more money I will replace the stock. I think it will cost more and a more wait time if they custom it. Yeah call and double check

I was trying to find somewhere close for a long range shooting. Queens Valley is not Ideal but it is close. Came across this at 1pm on a Wednesday. No body around. I don't get it those golfers and rabbit targets are around 40 bones each. I left it there, but if anyone heads out there in a couple of days and still there I guess its yours. Its right in the middle of a very popular shooting spot, so if its yours and you forgot its still there. Also a big thanks to the guy who huffed a 20" white plate up a mountain and left it there in a totally different spot. I have a range from 600 yards to 1800 yard. I can't wait for my 300 win mag to be set up for that.

UNIT 36B NORTHERN ENTRY POINTS
Zeke-BE replied to Ace High Benny's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Only a few spots to enter on the north side. Or go to Arivaca and go through the town heading east and make your way back there -
How does that work?? Does Sportsman ask people to donate??

I have a RCBS press and 300 win mag dies. These dies are no fun with messing with the coal of the round. When I set it up and tighten it down. (nothing is loose) and I'' still get 0.003" change in the coal. Up or down. I throw one in and it will be perfect and the second one will be 0.003" off. Ill pull the bullet off and retry it and it will still give me the same measurement with the same brass. Is it the brass? Is this really common and it always change? Sometimes but not always it will change 0.005" differences. Should I try different dies?

Stunning, jaw droping!!!!!! I wish AZ had mountains like that

I printed one off and taped it to my stock. If you do that you need to know the differences when your in lower elevation and higher elevation. Plus if you use the app, or print one off you still need verify it that you have the same drop. My printed page was dead on. Shooter app was off almost by a whole MOA. But I've have seen guys use it and they hit dead nuts all the time.

I got down to my to best loads, all shots were taken of bi-pod and sand bag in the back as requested (no sled ) 1. 78.5 H1000, Coal 3.610 .83" grouping at 100 yards 2. 78.5 H1000, Coal 3.600 .75" grouping at 100 yards So I took these and wanted to see if I can get to half in grouping and messed around with powder amount. Best to out of the 6 powder chargers 1. 78.7 H1000 Coal 3.600 1.120 @ 200 yards MOA 0.56" 2. 78.7 H1000 Coal 3.610 1.464 @ 200 yards MOA 0.732 Muzzle Velocity is Average at 3,000 fps After 150 rounds I finally got my load that I wanted. This gun and bullet was very fininky! I did load a light load a while ago with a 210 VLD and had 1/2 groupings, but I really wanted to see what I can do with this ELD-M can do. Here in the next couple of weeks Im going to take it out and stretch its legs should be fun. Since I got this one done, now to start on a 6.5 creedmoor load for the new rifle.

What!!! Man some poeple!! Yeah lots of trash out there. Bunch of yahoos are going to close it down because of all this. So if anybody knows of a boy scout that needs to do an eagle project this would be a good one to help with a clean up.

There is not much. But there is plenty of places where people shooting their pistols and ARs at the 50 to 200 range. Anything farther gets difficult. Be careful on Saturdays its a war zone.

If it was the 5.5-22x56 I would of taken it
