300 dollars for them to process it, vacuum seal, and ship it home. I think it was worth it. We took our pictures handed it over and gave them our address, and went to a local restaurant and enjoyed the evening

Looking into putting 2 rim fire Nikon 150 scopes on my kids 2 Savage rascal rifle. Even going to put on the bi-pod on for them. My daughters got a couple of years before she's 10 and my son about 5 years out. But want them getting used to firing guns with scopes and how to use them. So My question is the Nikon 150 rim fire worth the extra 80 dollars compared to a Nikon pro staff 3-9x32 scope? I read and watched reviews that they are set up at 50 yards and then the BDC is at 75, 100, and then 150 yards.

If you want to make it a once in a life time hunt and can't really make it down here just hire a guide -
My brother in law has painted a couple of his guns. But when I handle it I can always tell its painted by just by touch. (like a ever so slightly humid stick touch) Does your paint do that? If not is it just the paint he had?

338 Lapua Ackley Improved Build

I'm so glad you posted that! I've been looking for pictures in that exact set up A5 Mcm (non sporter contour). I usually see them in a sporter contour, or that type of contour on a different stock. Ive been getting ready to build a 6.5 creedmoor same stock but different paint job on a tikka action spiral fluted barrel and spiral fluted bolt. But yeah sweet rig! Post how it shoots and load development -
Cool pain job!! Even cooler that you have lockers for your ammo and a picture frame of groupings
-
Sweet rig! Im looking forward to your load development

We came home with 1100 dollars worth of fish sold at market price. Depending on what your doing and how long your planning on being there. But if you did what we did, airfare, rental, processing fish and freezing it home, tips, hotels 2 nights, food, and we weren't all that conservative but ate out pretty good we spent about 2k per person. Just another day of fishing (charter fishing) you will easily be in the 3500 range.

General Purpose/ Back up Rifle

I don't remember but I had my .270 past the Book standard .270 COAL length. But you can't chase the Lands to much though. I would say a healthy in between -
Did you also fish for halibut too? 16lbs of halibut
-
Yep thats what they said! Lesson learned but very glad I still went

General Purpose/ Back up Rifle

Never had a problem with the magazine, they work really well. Like I said earlier I had my .270 shooting 140 grain accubonds 3,000 fps. My brother over the counter 150 grain Winchester was shooting 2,950 fps all out of the 22" barrel. According to the reloading books I was right there with those 26" barrels. -

700 dollars for a Weatherby Vanguard wilderness is a great price. I see them for 900ish at Sportsman. I have one in Creedmoor at 24" but its still a pound heavier then my tikka .270 with a larger contour but 2" shorter. The Vanguard bolt action is heavy. But with a scope it will be around 8.5# -
Does any body uses lures there? Much luck?. I have always used worms

Im heading to Seward Alaska for an all day fishing charter on the sea. Weather will be rainy, and I have never been up there before. What type of clothing would you recommend while on the ocean?
