Depends on your scope too. My athlon cronus was able to get me 1,364 yards maxed out on a 20 moa rail with a 6.5 CM. Then on top of that i have some more MOA marks to go off too if needed.

I guess we are both confused Bob or just me and not understanding your question right. You asked The question could be , How GOOD of a hunter are you. All I asking how die hard people think they are not how good of a hunter/ stalker/ killer they are. I was giving an example about some one might love basketball like someone loves hunting. Even if their not that good they love it and practice and indulge in it all the time. I don't think Im a pro hunter by all means. Just a glorified weekend warrior hunter who thats rates himself as a 4-5 scale as how die hard I think i am. But yes If i rated myself like you said as a good hunter I would guess 4-5 as well. Im not sure where it sounded like I was mocking you Bob. That wasn't my intent, I apologize if that's how it came across.

Good Point naturbob! Let me be clear i guess. Example--- I could be a die hard basketball player/ fan. I watch it on tv, I go to the games, I learn of the players, I watch youtube to practice my crossover, I walk to the park everyday to practice my free throws and play on a Saturday league team. But by no means am I the number one pick or never made it on highschool team. I just lover the game. Hope that answers it

If I know Lance his decisions come down to the littlest detail for a reason why he shoots what he shoots even if its more work or similar. Plus he likes to shoot rifles most people don't have.

I don't doubt they make impressive guns. But 2500 rounds sounds like a Creedmoor. 3000-5000 our 308s. But a hooping fast 6.5 at that speed keeping accuracy for 2500 round you sir have a golden goose. I would be impressed. Keep a log of it and then send it my way at 2500 rounds. If its still the same Im calling GAP

No its not over-bored like the 28. But a 6.5 pushing well over 3100 fps and if you can get 2000 rounds shooting the same groups as the first 100 I would be impressed. Your throat will probably be erroaded first though.

If your planning on shooting with in 500 yards with elk which should be about 90% of all elk will be at anyways while hunting them the SAUM will work fine. That being said I just like to match bullets up with Animals. Bigger the animal bigger the bullet. A perfect all around gun is a .280AI That will be my next build

Been married 14 years. Wife puts up with it. Early on it was a fight, and now that Im more established in life I make lot more $. So for years every time I go out she would through the guilt trip on. Now that I do better in life, I told her to drop the guilt/ complaining and I give her 100 bucks a night that Im gone. I now usually hold on to all my cash jobs and just save it for hunting gear and days Im gone. Now she gets all excited when I leave for 3 nights. She knows she has 300 bones to go clothes shopping with.
