I usually don't stay in one spot. But have seen first hand the proof it provides by staying in a good spot all day. The spot will tell you how much time it takes. If you got lots and lots of land Ill be there for a while. And sometimes you need to hike a 1/2 to get to the other side and see that side. Plus that will put you at a different angel in the same spot behind you and you can find stuff

Some good advise already given. If I were you and your used to stalking deer with a bow. Just find a place on a map that a rd is a min of 1 mile out from any other roads. Find that and head that way before sun light. Start hiking in 1/2 mile and wait for the sun to come up. If you can find a high spot thats your baby. Stay there for about an hour and glass. If you don't have good glass well practice. If you don't have glass at all just walk through the woods like grandpa always did. Nice and slow and look and hear for everything. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast! If you come across water holes search the areas. If good activity stay there. Or hit it in morning and evening. Stop road hunting! You need some time on those boots. Good luck. And everybody wants a buck! And most people will take a meat buck as well.

When there is 3 or more in the hunting party everybody brings at least 1 meal to cook up and pick a night. So you usually get a good meal every night and you only get to cook it once.

Few years back I said the same thing of access for 24B and you basically said it in a nice way to don’t do that

I could be wrong but I believe this to be true. From what Ive seen in the hunting field and I believe that Game and fish has a statistic that they try to get as many tags in a area that doesn't hurt the population. Almost every draw hunt ive been on its always during a full moon. Lots of hunters go in and day one is where most kills happen. Day 1 you here shots all day. Day 2 you hear 1-2 shots in that day. The hunting pressure is so much with so many tags the animals take advantage of the moon light and go nocturnal. Hunters usually go home on Sunday and only the serious hunters will stay till the end which is just a hand full of them. Have you ever stayed out to Monday or Tuesday? You never run into another hunter. Then there is some success there. So in conclusion Game and Fish make the biggest bang for your buck (need to treat it like a business to succeed) A lot of people are happy they get drawn and hunt. Its just success rates are down. Once enough are taking then game and fish drops the tags. Ive kept lots of old regulation. Lots of tags in a area with low % kills they drop it by 50-200 tags. Funny in the next year when they drop it % kills from 15-20% goes up to 38% the next year. Less pressure more kills!!! Lets say 600 tags with 15% harvest thats 90 harvest. Then they drop to 400 tags with 35% success rate thats 140 harvest. They always adjust to hit that 20% range. Then bump up to 500 tags to many kills last year. Then it hits 20% success rate equals 100 harvest. So just my opinion they try to get as many tags to keep it around 20-25% success rates. Enough tags to make money and enough people to keep happy. So if the Antis buy tags and ditch it all it does is kill more animals!!! Thanks Antis!!!
