Full metal jackets??

Well good because my heater had been acting up, and around 5'am it stops working. So I have been doing it all week. Besides that if It didn't have a problem I would still burn!

Bergers work great for the most part. I haven't heard of to many failures but there are some with the big boy guns. My buddy shoots the 30-378. One big gun pushing I think a 210', can't remember. But up to 3200 fps. The Connecticut energy is the same with my 140 grain .270 at 200 yards when his hit 700 yards. He smacked a bull elk strait to the ground at 700 yard. It got back up and slowly walked off. He couldn't connect with it limping off. We followed the small blood trail for about 1/2 mile before it stop. He he hit it behind the shoulder and out the other side, so good placement, but we lost it. After some investigation somebody on YouTube had the same thing and recovered there bullet. Bregers are design to Hydro shock and expand within a couple inches once it hits the target. Apparently the guys on the video didn't do that it almost look like a full metal jacket. Then I read on a form somewhere else that a guy have the same problem when shooting far distance and called the factory and what he said they claim to say, was 1 out of every 100 with in 500 yards will not perform right when hitting the target. 1 out of every 20 out to 700 and beyond will not perform right when it hits the target. But that's what he said and we are led to believe only his word. Mao we think we might of been that 1 out of 20 bullet. On paper they always fly great. But the Long Range Accurbond are the complete opposite. The bullet works best on impact the farther the shot, and it's been known to not perform right while shooting close and fast. I shoot the 140 grain accurbond and it has performed well and I haven't heard any bad news about it close and far. But a less BC compared to Accurbond LR and Berger. But at last would I still buy Berger bullets for your rifle. I probably would. That or the Nosler accubond for me

I'm heading down south this weekend after this storm passes. Should only be 46 for the highs on a sunny day. Hopefully it should be in full swing where I'm at

How does emCreedmoor compare recoil to the .243??? Same, a little less, can't tell???

Yeahhhhhhhhh! I've been waiting for this post.

The dead one could be his younger brother. The left forks almost match from what I see

Sorry it is cartridge. Once I establish a cartridge I want I'll probably look really hard into a rifle.

Well done

Don't give up!! I'm going to keep up on this thread. I better see pictures in a few days with those no good yote in them. Happy hunting.

I've read it. I actually know one of the Boy Scouts that saw the man Jump off Havause Falls ( swan dive) came up and staggered around. The scouts pulled him out and then he died. He said they just pulled him to a shaded area and went to bed that night. Somebody had to hike out to get authority's.

I have hunted gamble quail all my life and I can't remember that I ever found or shot at quail in nice small rolling hills. When I do go that route they are never there. I always find them near or on the side of big hills or rugged terrain. Even this morning I got the chance to go out a few hours to a new location. I first went in the easy walking areas and then about face towards the more rugged terrain and sure enough there they are. Has any one notice the same pattern? Or is is just my luck?

Kingmen is to far for me you guys are lucky! -
I know these are all good areas. I usually go south of Florence in 37b. I guess I just want more of that open plains grass land experience!! Country looks awesome but the end result is getting a dog on the ground.

I was thinking about hunting off the I-17 in 21 through Agru Fria, Bloodly Basin rd, and Dugas. The country out there looks awesome, but I don't want to drive an 1-1/2 hour drive this Christmas Eve morning for a dead area. If the place is like any other place I won't bother with it I can drive 30 mins to a few places that usually will produce a yote. Is the place decent? It looks awesome out there! Or is this a all day hunt area?

Wow that's a far shot! Lance what did you shoot with?

With this rate he will be bored with hunting in a few years and will be asking to go to Africa, Alaska, and New Zealand just to get the thrills

I don't know!!! Just flip a coin it will look good either way

There is such a demand for ammo. I don't know why they don't make brass or factory rounds even if they stopped making the gun.

If you know your stuff and like to build then do it. But if you are buying one to shoot and you want a good one without problems buy the ARs that are a 1000 and up. Don't settle for anything less. I bought the Colt 6940 and love it. My brother always bought the 600-700 dollar ARs and always regretted it. If your willing to pay 700 dollars just wait and save a little longer and buy or build with better products.
