Can you verify the steady of the rifle? Example did you flinch a little bit up when you pulled the trigger? That is flat!! My standard .270, 3000 fps accurbond at 100 yards is 2" high, at 200 yards it 4-1/2" high and zeroed in at 300 and at 500 yards is 5 MOA which I don't remember in inches but I believe it is exceeding 35-40 inches. Most guns after 350-400 yards start dropping like a rock. You need to go out and shoot that gun and see what' it's doing and tell us your secret

This summer I'm on the same quest for a 300 win mag. But I shoot a .270 tikka and been hitting plate at 700 yards this weekend. I love my gun and the tikka but want a bigger caliber for those 4-600 yard elk shots. So why not. 26" barrel tikka??? That's what I'm planning on and getting a Bell and Carlson Tikka custom stock. I think it was B and C I need to,double check. Sweet looking stocks with a tikka bolt!! Tikkas has the smoothest over the counter rifle bolts I have ever used. But this is my opinion, but let us know which one you get. -
Can't remember if it was 15 or 17 at bass pro

I am heading down south for a coyote hunt. I've hunted down there many years. Since Arizona now lets you use more than five rounds, so out of curiosity, can you stuff a magazine with FMJ and leave the first 5 rounds with varmint hunting rounds? The rest are more of a quick get away, for example let's say you hiked in and by chance you just stumbled across drug smuggles and one has an AK and decides to take a shot. By extinct I'm sure I would hit the deck, and maybe get a shot off in his direction, and he rest of my magazine would be running away suppressive shooting shots as we get away. Obviously both sides of the parties will probably be running away from the situation. And I'm more then likely to die in a car wreck getting there then that happening. But my guess everyone and game and fish will say just load it up with the hunting rounds and you won't have a problem! The more and more I'm typing this up the more silly it sounds. Well! I've wrote this much down I might as well post it.

I remember your first post in how you asked for a close area and if someone wants to give up a small buck so you can fill the freezer. Then later on you asked again about you helping out a new hunter and if someone can give you information close to town. Now your asking the same thing for coyotes. A little hint! Close to home areas are rare, so if anyone has a spot most people don't know about for deer, pig, yotes, whatever, I would never give up that spot. You keep asking the wrong questions. These aren't question for assistance or help, these are questions; can you give up you secret close spots ( because anything close in my mind is a secret) so I don't have to drive far, scout, and make it easy for me off others people effort. That's what everyone is thinking when you post questions like that. Sorry but Mulepackhunter has a good answer!!! I'm doing the same thing this next weekend, I'm heading down to the 36 units lots of yotes. That is a 2-1/2 hour drive for me. I live in Gilbert and to get to any good hunt areas for yotes I still have to drive 40 min out. Are there closer spots than that? Yes but harder to find and get away from all the quads. Search the forum all over someone is bound to give up an area. Research, scout, ask the right questions and people help out!!!! Good luck and nail some yotes for us!!!!!

It's ok Sherman I still have to use my buddies reloading equipment and I usually gotta drive out 20 mins to his house. I'm in the process buying equipment now. Hope I can make a nice bench reloading press set up

I have my Springfeild xd 40 in my finger print locked and loaded next to my bed. Plus my wife sig 380, ( for quick response), a short barrel shot gun in the closets (rounds are in the top drawer to keep kids away, 4 shot high brass) and the Ar-15 with side pouches loaded magazines. Have 300 rounds shotgun, 1000 rounds of 223, few hundred .270 rounds, 100 rounds 380, and 1000 rounds of .40. Of course all this is recreational and I enjoy hunting and shooting, but this is the minimal amount I keep. Everybody's prepping is different, but I prep for the Katrina type scenarios. I don't think this country is going to fall apart any time in my lifetime or that were forced to fight the government for any reason. But I am prepared for lawlessness that might happen. If a natural disaster happen that we lost power drinking water food for a long period time there might be a mass panic. Just like Katrina there were fire fights with defense contractors that were hired because police went home and was trying to support protect and help their families out. So if Phoenix and outer cities ever becomes a tombstone of modern-day for a few weeks or so at least I'm prepared with protection, 4 months of food, 2 months of water. Now if something did happen like that I know a lot of people will be out there helping each other out. More so then bad! But perhaps rougher cities or neighborhoods it could be different, or they might pour in your neighborhood. What's your prepping situation and what do you believe in? Any tactics or ideas?????

Apparently I've driven by this many times on fireroad 25. I camped my entire life by big Lake area, but never new of the wilderness down there. I just saw it today on a map! Years ago down off the black river I've seen some whitetail. Does anybody back pack in and hunt whitetail in that area??

I'm not an emotional person at all. But I was fighting any sign of tears when I first drove through that area. I still get depressed thinking about it and angry
