A while back I spoke to azgfd and asked them that same question and they told me that the same amount of people put in every year internet vs paper. I think that human error on the paper apps helps out a bit though.

They have all of your applications on microfish/microfilm (they can view at any time) I would be really surprised to see your buddy got a HAM hunt when he put in for Archery. Tell your buddy to call down there and ask them to pull it up. So technically AZGFD does photo copy the apps. M. Gardner did you get your application in before the correction period ended which was 9/25? That is the date they tell everyone to be submitted by so they can review your apps which allows them enough time to call you to fix the problem. Anytime after that date your SOL> Hawkeye If I was you I would by powerball tickets because the draw is done on a puter and you and your wife hit the POWERBALL. Gr8white I use to think the same thing until I realized that they pay for all the apps/regs for us and take their time to open all the envelopes and make all the calls to notify you whats wrong on our apps (if in on time) If I screw up thats my bad and the 7.50 is probably worth their time. IMO

I was told about an incident that happened at the youth camp that really put a knot in my stomach. Now I do not want to throw out any names just yet but I was told this camp was held by a rather large Non profit org. in which I am a member. This is what happened- A very good friend of mine was helping out on a 5bs cow hunt and the hunter was a 14yr old boy on his first hunt and this cow was his first harvest. After they took care of the animal they pulled into this youth camp for the shindig that they were having and after arriving one of the volunteers walks over and looks at this boy's tag and tells the boy "This is not a junior tag" and pretty much shunned him off. At no time did anybody from that camp offer the boy a hot dog , hamburger , soda or even to take part in the festivities. So my question is, was this camp just for the 6A juniors or what. And even if it was, this is no way to treat a youth. Wow- all we talk about is introducing new hunters to get involved and this is what he gets??? And by the way- My friend that I am talking about is involved in numerous youth camps and needless to say this really CHAPPED is a$$. Oh yeah they ended up driving across the road and grilled their own Dogs and hamburgers for that young hunter. SHAME SHAME PS. Congratulations to all the youths this year that got out to hunt with friends and family. Troy

Do the class online and show up at the field day this Saturday the 10th at Ben Avery if you need it in a hurry. If not just keep checking the website under hunter ed classes and online classes.

Not on my Coues properties but I do have a beautiful ranch that is high in the mountains with tons of un-hunted birds! I think we may just hunt it this year and guide/outfit it next season....we'll see. Stanley- Do you participate in the jr camp up there? I have a good friend who volunteers and also takes out a couple of youth hunters. Boy oh Boy I love that unit

Hey guy's looks like I might to get to go hunting with my daughter this Dec. on her first hunt ever. I have not spent to much time in this unit but plan on it next week as long as I fill my archery 23 bull tag but if I get close to the end of my hunt and I am not succesful I will cut it short a few day's and go poke around in 3a/3c. BTW her tag is a cow hunt starting Dec 7-13. I have heard that since the fire that there is limited acces or should I say roads you can and can not drive on. Is this true and if so how do they mark the roads that you can and can not use. I also read where you can not recover your animal by driving to it off road. Is this for the entire unit? It does not matter either way to me but if the cow is accessible by my ranger I would much rather do that than quarter it up just to pack it a few hundread yards or so. One more thing I am assuming that I should probably poke around in the burn areas and do alot of glassing but if we just happen to get alot of snow will these cows move up more to the 3a side?? Any advice would be great. Thank's Troy
