I have never hunted down south but I know through you guy's on CWT there is some great critters down south. I for one would have to pass on hunting down there because I hunt with my family on most hunts and I would not want to have them out there when something like that goes down. That situation that you were presented with would probably have turned ugly for me seeing they would have surrounded my wife and my three daughters who can shoot very well. JK Its hard to tell what we would do in any situation but my first reaction would have been protect the wife and the chitlins so that guy straddeling the rifle (THREAT ENOUGH FOR ME)would have gotten to meet mr. 44 up close. I do not remember you saying that the others were armed so maybe that's all it would have took to get them all to high tail it. On the other hand I could have done exactly what you did and all would be well. So for me its a no brainer to hunt elsewhere with the Wife and kids just to avoid the situation's that you guy's go through down there. I know we should not let the illegals alter what we do but in reality they are and until we take action it's not ever going to change.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sounds like this is the bullet to beat. Broadside shots , quartering away shot , shots to far back "liver burger" amazing. Just think this bullet penetrates thru hide , muscle , ribs or shoulders a couple of inches BEFORE it starts its expansion Very useful info. Thanks Tim.

Welcome to the site! Nice pics and keep em coming! -
Well I was lucky enough to tag along with my buddy Ron yesterday on a Jr hunt in a unit that Ron and myself know very well. We started out glassing from different locations through out most of the morning and all we were seeing was deer and a couple yotes. A little later in the afternoon I had grabbed my lunch and walked into my afternoon glassing spot and started in on my sammich when I heard a shot ring out from the direction Ron and the kids were. I tried calling him but it was going right to voicemail so I knew his battery went dead so I packed my stuff up and took off in a flash! After the 10 minute mad dash to the quad and the 15 minute quad race I finally caught up to them to find out one of the boy's took a crack at a Jack rabbitt. We then decided to get back to the task at hand. I showed Ron a ridge earlier in the morning that I alway's see them little piggy's on and he decided he was going there and I told him I was going on the other side to glass the flats and the back side of the draw he was in. Well 20 mins. later I heard a shot again coming from where they are then another and another so I did the same routine as previously mentioned to get there and see that they put the smack on em (all three of them) Woohooo! Here is a pic of the boy's from left to right Tanner (Rons boy) Austin and Dave- Ron's Nephews.

suns bushing for a championchip
Huntn coues replied to thunderbolt's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
With Shaq you get a rebound machine which leads to alot more fast breaks. Now Amare and Nash don't have to help clean up off the glass as much. With Shaq doing that it makes the other team take a extra second or two to get back but by then Nash and Amare are already down court reciveing the outlet pass from the big guy. -

Huntn coues replied to thunderbolt's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
Well said. He does not have to run and be able to get back to defend he just needs to stay down there. Now Amare goes to the power forward position. Just wait and see what happens with Amare, less fouls and more points/rebounds. Who are you NOT going to double Diesel or Amare?? Either way the other will pound you inside. Shaq's health is a concern so use hime little and forget about the regular season record. We need to be more like S.Antonio (figure of speach) and just coast till just before the play offs start then flip the switch and let the Diesel do his thing. Remember EVERYONE says you need to slow things down in the play offs so the Suns do and now they will get ripped for that. Guaranteed Tim Duncan aint to happy about the whole thing. -

Gino you reminded me of when I was a kid and got in trouble. Sometimes I would have to write a sentence 100 times for example " I will not make my sister drink mud water"
