I think the guys that guess the ages are looking at the deers overall appearance like a deep chest, pot belly, facial features etc. But maybe they are looking at the horns

In GH's defence it does happen quite often. New member who asks for info...never heard from again. So don't take it so hard because if GH did not say it someone else would have... and on any other site as well. Good luck and Welcome.

Well It all started out in the darkness of the first morning of My 10 yr olds cow hunt. We set up a pop up on a waterhole and started the waiting game after about 45 mins the sun finally started to appear which was welcomed by Ciarra and her sister Courtney who joined us for the hunt. About 8 am we had a coyote come in from our backside but elected to pass on em. After that the excitement turned to I'm hungry which was music to my ears We left at 9:30 and was back in the blind by 11:00. After a few hours of seeing nothing but birds and squirells that yote came back in at 3:30 got a drink and was leaving when Ciarra said I got em in the scope so I used my cow call to make the best varmit squeal that I could and he stopped in his tracks at 100 yds facing us and that's when she put the hammer on him. We got out and took pics then got back into the blind. 15 mins later we had a bobcat come in and to make a long story short I was second guessing my self if the season was open To late after 10 mins he walked off. So at about 4:30 we packed up and walked back out to the truck dropped off the gear and Courtney stayed with the truck as well and Ciarra and I started walking back in to get the coyote when I saw dadgum cows and a bull in the waterhole wa just left 10 minutes earlier I got her into 150 yards and the rest was text book...perfect 1 shot double lung hit!! Not to bad of a day for her first two critters. Thanks to Justin for that awesome spot and for the pack out and Tanner for his help as well

Well it all started out by flying the chute planes looking for this particular buck. When we finally located him at this tank we made all the necessary calls for help. We all met up and devised our plan which took ALOT of work. First we started with baiting the site and when he continued to show up on the 6 cameras on that tank we knew we had em. We imediately put up a high fence to contain him so we could save alot of money on fuel to cut down on our scouting expenses. Next up was placing the blind in the right spot and setting up the generator (a couple hundread yards away of course) we ran the extention cords to the pop up so I could have the creature comforts of home ie....A/C - TV etc..... Opeing day was a tuffy We had our six spotters positioned above the enclosure well before daylight. They all had either radios, cell phones or flash cards in hand and their only goal was to notify me when the buck was getting close so I could shut down the a/c and tv before he heard it (worked like a charm too I might add) Now I had to make the shot! I drew down on him at a range of 120 yards (and yes I am very capable of shooting 3" groups at this distance) But low and behold he kept getting closer Musta been the scentlock and the cover scents I was using. Well anyways he kept coming in and when he got to about 16 yards or so he tripped over the extention cord and paused and thats when I let him have it with my 100grain @@@### ( Head not mentioned do to the negative feedback I know I would hear) My Bear Instinct did its job (not Matthews) Now for the recovery- I called the truck in (with my cell phone) with the tripod seat so we could see over the high brush(cuz there is snakes out there you know) After the recovery vehicle got thru the gate to the enclosure we made the journey of finding this bad boy. And after several minutes we found him not 20 yards away from point of impact! I would like to thank every one involved on this hunt! I could not have done it with out you and the phones , radios etc... Ps I could not figure out how to down size the pics so I would not eat up all of Amanda's space up

And this year the cards will win their weak division and host a play off game. And we all know what their home record is at the new stadium!!!!!!!!!!! Second round or bust. -

Just a FYI.... I spoke to some park rangers and g/f about the population of deer on that mountain and they like to maintain about 700 deer but as recent as last year there is aprx 1100 Now this might seem far fetched but thats what they say. I live just a hop skip and a jump from the tanks and have never seen a shortage of deer. JMO- And as you probably know weez got to have our walking shoes on!
