Shooter for sure! Talked to Fish and Game at 510 pm after waiting on hold from 415pm and after a polite conversation about years past mistakes with applications, I asked if she could tell me if my application had been accepted for the draw and she replied that currently that information was not available. She then assured me that I would be able to find out tomorrow. She proceeded to talk about the staff involved working furiously to get the results together by 6pm. Thank you Judy for bringing closure to my wondering.......Tomorrow is the Day I find out whether I drew my First Elk Tag Ever. Nine years and counting, let this be the one. Sweet Dreamin Folks

Find year round water sources, work topographical maps to determine bedding areas, place a couple cameras strategically between point a and b and at water source or salt lick. Enjoy the half a year you have to wait to hunt getting to know the unit and the game residing within it. Those drives with dad up north to check cameras and spending the mornings glassing the bedding areas are the moments that create a wonderful experience. The next six months can and will afford you the opportunity to find and mark shooting spots, blind locations, and sources of food and water. I envy you in a way that some cannot understand as I lost my father to a car accident when I was 17. All of our Blessings, from my Family to yours, on the hunt of a lifetime. Ken P.S. If everybody used money orders we would probably have results by now Especially if they added a slot for our email address on the application, then a notification is automatically generated whether you were drawn or not. I think it would add dimension to this whole ordeal if they sent you the number you drew in the draft. Then created a site we could access during the draw so we could watch it all go down. That site would probably crash though due to everyone viewing at the same time. Ideas for a better tomorrow!

Let me settle this for you guys. The gentlemen getting spring results put in for spring hunts, those who did not are getting draw results are unavailable at this time.

I say this each and every year, Please understand the risk of electronic transactions and pay by money order. Have your apps checked if you can prior to turning them in. This sport ,in particular elk hunting, requires the same passion and diligence to get drawn as to be successful. Eliminate the x factors for less stress and more importantly in this case, a chance to fill your tag( that someone else has now been issued). I speak from experience after turning in an app in 2006 without marking the resident/non resident box. Kicked myself for a year

Zbar, Contrary to popuar opinion You neither need Money or guide and it doesn't even matter who you are, Its who you know!!!!!! . Some of us go hunting in 9 every year even when we dont draw tags,because theres always someone who likes the extra help. +1 to that! I have never drawn a tag over the nine years of putting in, but I have helped on 6 archery and 4 rifle bull hunts during those years. Some of us just love to be out there, enjoying the moment and sharing in the excitement when a hunter is successful. Heck, I helped pack a young lady's mule deer out of strawberry ridge in Utah, just to get bloody lol. Good luck on the Tag of a lifetime, none better than archery during the rut.

Of course I am being hopeful, they did complete the draw much quicker this year ( almost 10 days sooner ) so they have led me to believe they could release them sooner as well. This time of year wishful thinking is all we have haha! What do you think you drew based on your bp's?
