Eli is a well known judge of antelope scoring, and yes this buck is every bit a shooter. I believe TLO has posted pics of this buck known as Freak.

Where you at this year?

It's the new era of scouting, cameras can tell a great story when placed properly. All that data can add up to a trophy, it's been proven time and again.

A woman from Los Angeles, who was a tree hugger, a liberal Democrat, and an anti-hunter, purchased a piece of timberland near Colville, WA. There was a large tree on one of the highest points of the tract. She wanted a good view of the natural splendor of her land so she started to climb the big tree. As she neared the top she encountered a spotted owl that attacked her. In her haste to escape, the woman slid down the tree to the ground and got many splinters in her crotch. In considerable pain, she hurried to a local ER to see a doctor. She told him she was an environmentalist, a democrat, and an anti-hunter and how she came to get all the splinters. The doctor listened to her story with great patience and then told her to go wait in the examining room and he would see if he could help her. She sat and waited three hours before the doctor reappeared. The angry woman demanded, "What took you so long?" He smiled and then told her, "Well, I had to get permits from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management before I could remove old-growth timber from a "recreational area" so close to a waste treatment facility. I'm sorry, but due to Obama-Care...they turned you down."

Dang nice Buck! Hopefully my buddy will allow me to share his come this weekend.......They are dialed in!

I have numerous does hitting regularly, but this was the first two pics of a buck! 717 photos spanning 20 days, most between 5 days when the temps dropped. It's so green and lush up there, it's going to be a great year to be in the field.

I'm running around in circles with anticipation, going crazy thinking about elk hunting in the rut. Anyone care to pass the time sharing a 5a archery experience, or at the very least give a one word description of a past hunt with your bow year included? I will start......This is my first hunt for elk and I have waited patiently for ten years so my only choice would be READY!

Scouted some great bucks yesterday in 19a. Friday next week should be interesting. My advice to anyone who reads this is to have a forest map. The private land is surrounding some great blm and state trust which is great for those who dont want to spend a 1000.00 to access land. Two bucks 75-79 and one about 82. Five or six bucks at 70-75. Very spread out......A huge THANKS goes out to Dean Priest for taking the time to show a guy the ropes!! An Outstanding individual I get to call a friend. Many blessings to all the second week tag holders, hoping to help my 52 year old friend take his first archery big game animal!

Hey Ryan good to hear from you as well! Pretty hard to forget such a kind gesture, that dinner was a life saver. We were still 30 minutes to our camp and it was already dark thirty. I will give you a call right before the hunt and let you know my exact location, camp is still to be determined based upon the set up being used. I have had help getting ready for this hunt and made a lifetime friend in the process. Hopefully we can get it done, but I won't hesitate to call upon your skills if necessary. Praying all is well for your families and that you both stay safe at work. Kurt drew the late archery unit 1 tag and his wife drew the unit 10 muzzy tag! My son drew junior cow in 3ac so elk will be on the menu for awhile. Talk with you soon, Ken 480-703-2728
