Where did you get this from. Ive googled the ARS 17-332 all I come up with is the same language that is found in the G&F regulations. On a side note, the phrase "..should be allowed.." was used not something more definative like "..is/are allowed.."

Do you how much for the pang fishing?

Wow sounds like a trip you love to hate.....love the experience but hate it at the same time. Like suicide hot wings scorching your mouth then cooling it with a cold frosty beer! Thanks for the story and pics. I have been taking about a backpack trip into on of the wilderness areas but it all talks so far...Your story puts things into perspective.

You can bet that some people will not know a lot about the restrictions and/or wont care and zip by you on "closed" roads. I can say that with certainty because I have seen quads on closed roads with physical barriers (4A and 4B) and in meadows with no roads nearby! Best of luck. Do your best to enjoy your time in the woods hunting....after all some of us dont have an elk tag this year.

Huge congrats to the Little Big Men that are taking down the thunder chickens!

Hope you get your stuff back! There is a very personal violation when people steal for you. Atleast for me and a lot thoughts of how I would teach them a lesson if I caught them stealing! In the end, not worth the trouble and headaches!

Interesting thought! I dont know much about the law but if there was a loss of revenue then them must be a cause for that loss and it still seems as if there is a gray area in the word "managing". "....while State Trust lands are managed for the benefit of 13 Trust beneficiaries, which include the public schools and prisons. The Land Department's trust management responsibilities include requiring a permit or lease and charging a fee for use of Trust land..." First thought, the 13 Trust beneficiaries does not include hunters as a group as per the following "State Trust Land is distinguished from the public land such as parks or national forests because all uses of the land must benefit the 13 Trust beneficiaries. Congress, in granting the State Trust Land, recognized the value of the land and the importance of providing support to the public schools and public institutions...." and the Annual Report - Fiscal Year 2009-2010 http://www.land.state.az.us/beneficiaries.htm . So if the state department deems it is in the best interest of the 13 trusties by locking gates to allow certain permitted groups that have paid fees for access then can? Second thought (Im stretching it), hunters paid a fee for their hunting license that permits access to state land and if some portion of the fees benefits the 13 trusties (not sure this matters since hunting license equals access independent of the fee), then I would claim the land department has numerous policies and practices which give big companies privileges not afforded the rest of the public. And just for good measure and raise some heads I would say that the state lands is in voilation of Arizona Constitution and federal Enabling Act by not managing for the highest and best use (ie, hunters that have near zero impact on the land). After we paid a fee! Pulled all this out of my butt!!!!!

Credit card Issue in draw equals no Elk tag!
trophyhnter replied to mulie hunter's topic in Elk Hunting
Im pulling for you!. I would start out the conversation by indicating that a BULL tag (1st choice) would be just compensation for all work you have had to put in just to get them to review your case (assuming they give you a tag)! May not have a leg to stand on but it cannot hurt! -
Great writeup and a huge congrats to the younger hunter on his pig and giving the other hunter first chance. He was rewarded for his consideration!Seven years and ten months and counting for me and my first son to enjoy his first hunt! I can wait because there will be a lot of good stuff before then but still,I cann't wait!

On the Game and Fish Webpage: "Elk/pronghorn draw results to be available in the next 1-2 weeks Posted in: News Media Mar 27, 2012 PHOENIX - It’s the time of year when many constituents ask the Arizona Game and Fish Department when the results for the pronghorn antelope and elk hunt draw will be released. The department anticipates that the 2012 results will be available sometime in the next one to two weeks, but there is no set date at this point. For those who applied using the online service, the process of charging the credit cards of successful applicants will begin tomorrow. This process will take several days to complete. Constituents are asked to please not call the department regarding draw results until the results are publicly posted. We will make an announcement of their availability on our website at http://www.azgfd.gov and through our e-news, Facebook and Twitter communications. To sign up for e-news, visit http://www.azgfd.gov/signup. Looks like they are tired of having everyone calling! Good Luck all!

WOW! My buddies hunted archery bull elk 3A/3C in 2009 but they did not have a lot of luck seeing "big bull"...over 350" early on because it rained almost the entire hunt. Of course the second week when they were willing to take a 350ish bull, they could not find the 5 or 6 that they had passed on. I was doing some calling for my friends sister during her muzzleloader hunt a few years before that and we saw some big bulls! Cow calls didnt work for the big boys with cows! Called in a few "raghorns".....that I would have shot! Bugles worked best to get the bulls to bugle and then the race was on to get infront of them and get a look at the bull. Used cow calls to cover our foot noise. Seemed to me that they were headed in a direction and cow calls were not going to get them to turn around. You are in for a great hunt in either unit!

Congrats on the tag. If I remember correctly, you do alright in AZ and you always have a good writeup with pics to take us through your hunt. The archery buck you killed several years ago on the strip was a pig! Do you still hunt southern Az in January? Havent seen your stories for awhile. Best of luck and looking forward to your successful post!

You are a Tool. Here is another guy that needs a pat on the back because he killed an animal. I like how you were able to brag about calling in a pig, the pistol caliber, shot placement, your awesome hunting ethics, all while slamming some guy using the same tools that you were, sans cammo. Oh wait, you - or your friend, must be the guys with the “right hands” so you should be allowed to use a high capacity pistol. Out of curiosity, do you have to register your hands as lethal weapons? Obviously, not your brain… Anyway, here is your pat on the back. Now leave. Why would you propose that we have a law or more restrictions against hunters? You are going the wrong way; your way of thinking will have you and your kids drinking your chai tea latte from a silly straw. With your logic, why would any more than 1 round ever be needed? I call BS on your entire post. I want your glass because my swaros aren’t cuttin it "I Heard in the distance what sounded like an auto fire firearm", the canyon was so far away and so big that it sounded like a full auto??? I have never heard of this phenomenon....but wait, you can see pigs running everywhere and bad trigger control? Oh and wait..... this hunter was wearing street cloths??? you mean people hunt without cammo? Oh, they aren’t real hunters unless they have on hard woods baby.... I bet you are the guy in the ghillie suite that I see on opening morning for dove. Just in case you didn’t hear me the first time, you are a TOOL. WOW! You have too much time on your hands. I dont care for a limit of bullet for handguns just an observation of the lack of limits for handsgun verus rifles. The yahoo in street cloths propted me to look at the regs! That must have been you! My bad, wont be hunting near you again!
