    "My" Hunt!

Great story! Love the character of the rack....awesome buck! I agree, the harder you work for it the more you appreciate the accomplishment! I have been on a lot of solo hunts because no one was available to go. Those nights when things arent going right do take a lot out of you and make you question why you are there! Just having someone there talk out the ups and downs help a lot! But then morning comes and all doubts are erased! You did it the hard way......wouldnt have it any other way!!!!!! Huge congrats!

Went 5 for 5 on our late nov hunt

Great work! Great looking bucks! Funny how that works, when you are glassing and stocking deer it doesnt seen that far or that hard of a hike! Once the adrenaline rush wears off, the pictures are taken, and the sun is going down then the you can see the hike out for what it is! Makes for great stories around the campfire with some cold ones!
  9. Great pics! The early bird gets the worn......or in the case of deer, the spike get some tail!

    Dec Tag Filled

Great buck! Great story! Huge congrats on a great buck! My brother and two friends had december tags three years ago they hunted hard. On openning day I found a beautiful mature buck that would not score that well but had great character. It was a long ways off and at the top of a nasty canyon/mountian! We crossed one canyon to get a better look at him and after making several compelling arguements only my friend decided to fling some lead. The death march up to the buck and back to the truck ensued and I felt like we were not going to make it back alive...remember we were only going to go for a closer look so we did not have enough food/snacks or water for the haul out! Anyway, my brother and other friend hunted the rest of the season and only found a fork to shoot at but did not harvest! You did the right thing! You saw a buck you liked and well.....the rest is written history! If you didnt shoot, it may have turned out like my brothers hunt!

    Late Nov. buck

It has to be bigger than 106! Maybe your using a short tape . Like Bush's election.....I demand a recount! Huge congrats on a stud of a buck!
  19. Just saw the terrible news that included the killing of 18 to 20 children! What an EXTREMELY sad day! My prayers go out to all those affected especially the victims of shooting. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/12/14/police-respond-to-shooting-at-connecticut-elementary-school/

    road hunters

+1 for road hunters +1 for nonroad hunters +1 for all those who complain about road hunters and nonroadhunters -1 for those that complain about those that complian.... Oh wait, Im complianing about those that complian about those who complain! I say to each his/her own as long as you do it legally and safely! Road hunters make for less people in the hills with me and who knows, they may enjoy that type hunting!

UT Late Archery Elk Hunt (Video)

Extreme conditions! WOW! I'm cold just watching the video! I assume you were not camping in that weather and walking in and out everyday? Bummer about the bull but it happens and it was a great video despite the outcome!

    My COPD Ram

I had to look it up as my vocabulary is lacking: per·func·to·ry (pr-fngkt-r) adj. 1. Done routinely and with little interest or care: The operator answered the phone with a perfunctory greeting. 2. Acting with indifference; showing little interest or care. In the state of Arizona this is truely a once in a lifetime hunt! Hopefully there aren't any perfunctory congratulations! Cannot wait for the story. Its going to be good!
