I think Game Planner Maps is who you are thinking of. Wyoming game and fish also has maps you can download for specific units and HMA's. You have to download a specific map viewer app but it shows you exactly where you are on the map using your phones GPS. Not very good for topo, but pretty decent for land ownership and county roads. I've downloaded several maps and ordered a few BLM maps for my upcoming WY antelope trip. Good luck!

So I just got off the phone with the AZGFD. She lady said that for the leftover draw, it's better to leave the money order blank. If you are successful, she said they will fill it out and cash it. If unsuccessful, they will return the blank money order to you and you can cash it. Thanks everyone for the replies.

Aaaarrrrgh! Just went to finish my app and my wife used the last check and forgot to order more. Has anyone used a money order? Will they mail you a refund check if unsuccessful or do you leave the money order blank and they return it to you?

The lifetime license only includes you in the pool of residents for the purpose of the draw (obviously a big advantage). Still have to pay non resident tag fees.

For sure. We drew buck antelope tags and were planning on picking up some leftover doe tags in one of the adjacent units. Both units had tons of leftovers last year and none this year!

They will open it up to buy them online on July 1st.

Welcome to AZ! I grew up just outside of Columbus (Westerville) and have lived here in AZ for ten years now. Once you get used to the summer heat its pretty nice, beats the heck out of snow and constant gray skies. The hunting here is leaps and bounds better than Ohio when it comes to variety of game and public access. There are some things I do miss like OSU tailgating, Yuengling, and fall weather. Shoot me a PM if you ever get down to southern AZ for some quail hunting.

I deciced to burn my points this year after not drawing anything else this fall. We'll be west of Laramie the first week of October as thats the week my sons on fall break. This will be my first antelope trip to Wyoming and should be fun!

We'll be up in unit 1 this weekend with the boys again this year. We had a blast the past few years and it is truly my favorite hunt of the year. We usually go south of Big Lake but they are not opening SR 273 and 261 until friday afternoon so not sure where we will go Friday morning yet. Is the youth camp the one on the 117 road?

Aside from harvest % do they give you info on quality of game, trophy potential, etc? Yea, for each unit they assign an overall unit rating and a numerical score for trophy potential.

I think they also offer an application service for a fee, but I have never used it.

I use Hunters Trailhead. I think its $35/ year now but I feel it is worth it if you apply for several states. I apply in 3-4 states a year for various species and it really helps to sift through hunt units (% public land, harvest %, draw odds, etc.) The draw odds are much more accurate based on bonus/preference points and you can search hunt units based on certain criteria.

What a great family day! My six year old and I were at the game yesterday. It was his first OSU football game and we had a ball! I grew up in Columbus and am a diehard Buckeye fan so it was a great experience to be able to share with him. It was right up there with the first time I took him hunting.
