Here is a fact! Coues deer do react to calls. The last archery Coues buck I killed was at about 5-yards. I had called this buck in when I sat up pretty close to a herd of does. The buck came in acting like he was ready to fight. I have also used this call down in Mexico and had exceptional results. The is the Coues deer call by Modern Call Products. It is a hands free call and in my opinon this call is trully awesome. Hey All, Well our hunt in NM was a success. All we saw was mule deer except for 2 little Coues bucks. I killed a decent mule deer 4-point and my parnters killed a 2-point and 3-point. We hunted really hard and had a really good hunt. I will be looking forward to getting back into NM when I get back. I want to thank everyone for helping us for this hunt. You are all apprieciated. I will be gone for the next 18 months. When I returned from my hunt I found out that my unit is going to be deployed to be Iraq. You all have a good hunt next year. Take it easy and kill a big one. Jason thanks for the hook up. I did a little research and that place looks decent. I will be in there and I will let you know how it all turns out. Did that buck that was killed in 23 have 3 points on both sides and did that young man kill it? If so it should be somewhere close to 78 to 80 inches. Those are some decent G-2's. That right G-1 looks like it is about 4 inches. BTW, the book doesn't mean that much to me, I just love to guess scores. I not very good at either. I'm hope the young man killed that buck. I will be in 23 unless you have some sugestions. I will be there filming for the show. I planned on hunting NE of Glenwood across the San Fran. I guess there are some areas that I can get into that won't have too much trafic. I don't mind crossing over a canyon or two to get away from the crowds and roadies. Give me a call.
