Awesome bull! Congrats to you.

I won’t be able to hit the desert until the weekend quail season opens. It’s killing me to not go out there but the hot weather has kept me from wanting to get after it recently and the next two weekends we have stuff going on family wise. Oh well, those deer aren’t going no where.

Congrats on a stellar buck! Awesome you were able to get a second chance at him.
-
Glad your buddy didn't get shot himself if that guy happened to miss or if your buddy was in the crossfire. That could be scary.
-
Thanks for the write up. That sounds like a fun time. Missing is part of the game. If you ever lose buck/bull fever, then your hunting days are over. Nothing beats the adrenaline rush of getting a chance to harvest a big game animal.

With the trail camera ban in place, has anybody been seeing less cameras on waterholes? We never had much issue with camera pressure where I hunt but I was just curious what it is looking around the rest of the state.

Man that’s awesome! Thanks for the write up and photos! Looks like a great time. Congrats to the hunter.

Hopefully you find something good!

Congrats, good luck on the rest of your hunt! Sounds like a blast.

She’s getting closer and her projected track is getting a little more inland each day I look…

Very little rain. Looks like it stayed west of us. It says we are going to get another shot of rain around 11 but we will see.
-
You just gotta make sure your rod is lower than the people you are fishing with 🤣🤣

Supposed to hit tomorrow morning and through Saturday. That is just projected though. No telling exactly what a storm will do. I was hoping for a good shot of rain but I saw a bit ago Yuma is only expected to get 1/2" to 1"...

We should be getting a good amount of rain off this thing…

I have been utilizing Arizona Weather Force also and they have been very accurate. I think more reliable than most other places.

In Yuma, we get checked almost always during Dove Season and the area we deer hunt is patrolled fairly well. It is not uncommon to see a game warden. I’ve been checked several times through the years. Out fishing, I haven’t been checked in 15+ years by a game warden.

We've had years where we didn't see crap out scouting prior to a hunt but the hunting pressure in the area moved deer around to places they normally wouldn't be and we were able to tag out. I hope you have some of that same luck.

My experience with desert mule deer is they are where you find them. I also find most of my bucks in the flats, a lot of times 3+ miles from the closest hill. Makes hunting them very tough but man it’s fun.

I spend 90% of my free time from February-September fishing. We have some of the best fishing in the state here on the river in Yuma. Since June, I’ve been battling tingling/numbing in my arms at night. I will wake up and both arms are numb and fingers are like pins and needles. It doesn’t happen every night but a couple Times a week I’ve been dealing with. I was able to get into a Neurologist and she got me an MRI to rule out anything in my head or neck. She also did an EMG and after the EMG, she said it looks like it’s mild carpal tunnel. She said sometimes mild CT will induce more severe symptoms because the nerve works but it’s not 100%. So I’ve gotta get wrist braces and keep them on everyday for 3 months and see if the nerve can heal. For those who have carpal Tunnel or have recovered from it, do any braces work or are some better than others? Did your symptoms go away right away or did it take time? Does it ever completely go away? What are some home remedies aside from the wrist braces that you tried that help numbing or pain? Thank you ahead of time for the help. I’ve never had anything like this before so when it first started happening I had some panic attacks wondering what was up. The Pics are a few of the tournaments from down here in Yuma. The reason I’ve developed this crap.

Congratulations! Awesome buck and thanks for the post.

Seems like people used to always write a report when they killed but they are few and far between now. I always enjoy seeing photos of success.

I've been wearing braces since Friday night and they are helping. I have been able to sleep through the night without issue. Thanks all for the advice. My neurologist said my carpal tunnel is mild so surgery isn't needed. We will see what happens over the next month or so. This just randomly started happening a couple months ago and has progressively gotten worse. It sucks to say the least. I feel for you that have been dealing with this for years.

Thank you!

I know D12 in California is forkie or better and has been for years. They don’t seem to have any issues with it.

First off, I just want to say I enjoy looking at all the giants people kill with this outfit. They do a great job. I just saw they are doing a new thing where you get to go photograph deer on the ranch before any hunting season opens up. The cost is $4500 per photographer. Is this something people do all the time? This is the first I’ve heard of it.
