Exactly how I've been targeting new Javelina country. To everyone though, please!!!!! Do more walking washes than driving them. You can't really pick apart tracks and what's going on a 20mph from a razor or jeep. I have a very capable tacoma, but I don't drive washes. I walk them. For that matter I walk everything. A lot of people would rediscover the joy of being outdoors if they would get out of a vehicle or off their dang fourwheeler and break their boots in. I've found those fish and game starting points to be more than helpful for finding areas. I don't kill much, but I will. Finding places on your own is part of the fun. I'll ask for a tip or two and surely won't turn info down, but don't expect anyone to take me to their honey hole.

Here's one. I've been blacklisted by all states drawings and will never draw s decent tag again because I won the commissioners tag a few years back.😞 Im thinking I just plain used up all my luck.

Crazy. I believe that is a crow. Straight beak? I believe Ravens are bigger with a curved beak, but don't quote me on that. Ravens fly, crows die is describing one is legal to shoot and one is a protected species I believe as well. I know people who hunt crows when nothing else is happening. Thats a lot of voltage going through a little body. Bet it scared the crap out of you guys.

Nice buck! I use slick tricks too, hope I find a buck like that to release one into.

Wolverines like Coors, that's why you'll find them down there.

They should release 2 dozen pairs in down town San Fransico for a feasibility study.

I wear camo jeans myself in the think stuff.

We started getting Canadians in Havasu in OCT, some of them really can't drive. -
Awesome story. Being amongst animals pinned down is what excites me the most about bowhunt ing. Congratulations!

I can shoot to 100 yards 6 times fairly rapid and accurate, so I'd say it's not easier to get one with a bow than handgun. That's with the 44 mag scoped. Using a non scoped pistol like my glock or a small open sighted revolver, I'll take the bow any day. I'll be using 200 grain Speer hollow points pushed by 28 grains of H110 for my HAM hunt. Any decent hollow point from a 38 special on up should be rapid death for a Javelina.

My tag is for 18b, the 17s and the 19s I believe. My HAM tag for feb is for 16A. I got that tag because I wanted to go check out Goodwin Mesa, but the snow kept me down by 93, south of Wikiup.

Seems like an awesome cartridge. 7 mm bullets, very common parent case, enough capacity to produce plenty of velocity but still have long barrel life. I'm sure your going to love it.

I just have a Diamond Iceman for my compound. It's quiet, fast enough and easy to shoot. My current two recurves are a vintage 1960s Damon Howatt Super Diablo at 55 lbs and my small game fun to shoot bow is a Samick Sage with 45 lb limbs. My favorite recurve of all time was a 50lb Bear Kodiak my dad used to let me borrow when I was younger. Great bow, killed numerous small game and my first deer with it. I used to be deadly with a recurve, now I don't have enough time to practice so I have to be lazy and hunt with a compound.

I think with smart TVs and more Internet options we are within a few years of buying individual channels ala carte. Once hockey season is over I may just use Netflix. I like to see the news and a few other things, but I'm seldom home and it's just a waste of money.

The stuff I had was slim jims and it was great. Really good way to use up ducks sitting in the freezer.

That was me. I have a different color G String for each area so I can figure out who's camera it was when the post it. HaHa Just kidding, but thats hilarious! Maybe he always rolls that way, maybe its a statement how he feels about game cameras?

My place is in Havasu, but I'm in other places more often than home. Working in Bakersfield right now. Congrats again, glad you guys got into them. I hunt in CA and AZ and have been in quite a drought on the hunting scene. Good to here someone is having success.

Way to go. I hunted much closer to Havasu and found great track and sign, but saw no pigs. Only had two days, hoping to hit it later in the hunt again. You live in Havasu year round?

That's some good info! You know anything about 18b or the 17s?:-)

I slacked off during the holidays. Back running now, etc. of course hiking with the bow when possible since I have a deer and Javi tag in my pack. Out in Bakersfield working now for a few weeks, so hoping to get some running in without getting stabbed. I'll have to figure out some safe areas. When I get a few extra days I'm meeting my buddy on the coast for a wild pig hunt with the handguns. It's wicked steep terrain so im sure that will be an eye opener and motivator.

Not to start anything, but just curious what the laws are on selling capes and other parts? I know it's illegal in some states. I used to keep them and have just thrown or given away the hides on the last several deer I took.

If I took my boots off, every critter for a 1/4 mile down wind would smell my socks! I've never removed shoes. Afraid I might have to move fast.

That sucks. We have s job starting tomorrow in Pagosa Springs. My cousin is heading over there to do it. I'll tell him to stay off the ice! What a shame to lose all those elk at once.
