I'm looking for something I can tow with a Tundra. Great deal but That's too big a rig for a 1/2 ton I think. For curiosity, what are the specs on it? Length, weight, etc. Slides, gen, pics of inside?

Thats impossible. AZ game and fish has mis managed the herds so bad theres nothing bigger than a forkie anywhere. Good luck, that will be one memerable trophy if you get him. I have a 190 Ive been trying to figure out how to kill with the bow.

My 15x56 Minox BLs are so bright they make my other binos look super dark. I then went and looked through 12x50 Swarovisions and they make everything I've ever looked through seem bad. It's never ending, but I look back and think of all the hunts that would have been way better if I would have upgraded earlier.

I find it crazy that anyone would pay that type of money to hunt anything. I'd love to get a huge Mulie, but even if I was a multi millionaire I'd never even consider it. Now, if the money is all going to habitat improvement, protecting public access, etc, then I guess it's a good thing.

14 hour sits in Aug! I'll never be a good tree stand Hunter. I can barely sit still for two hours in a ground blind. In 14 hours I'd have to eat 3-4 times, go to the bathroom 3-5 times, move 400 times, etc.

I talked to a biologist that said they have some lions that are focusing on the Wild Burros. Need more of those. Don't need feral pigs though, they tear everything up. The require lots of water and will run other animals out of an area. I'm hunting them in nor cal again in a few weeks.hoping to get a couple on my buddies property.

30-30 or 220 swift for armadillos?

Ladder stands are best but I've thought about picking up a light climber myself for remote areas.

PM me GPS coordinates and I'll go study the situation and get back back to you.

Maybe it will be like CA a few years ago. They sent my cousin two premium tags that take 5 + points to get and he had zero points!

Because hunters are 5% of the population and the other 95 are brainwashed by the media.

I have a Rem 700 BDL with a limbsaver on it in 30-06. It's not a light gun and recoil is average. With the limbsaver my 110lb ex wife use to shoot it with no problem at all. Without the limbsaver she was scared of it. I would highly recommend not getting a lightweight 30-06 for a youth unless you reload. You can load an 06 with 125 ballistic tips and 4895 for a very effective deer round with very little recoil. Full bore 165-180 grain bullets produce lots of recoil.

I'm about to do some spring cleaning and will list several things including that trigger. I'm just always on the road so it's harder for me to get those things done. My dad has a Win Mod 70 featherweight from the 80s that has the worst trigger ever. I think Winchester went through a phase where they had really "safe" triggers. The opposite of Remington that went through a phase of really dangerous triggers that would fire just by taken it off safety.

Go to 3 rivers archery online. Great stuff and info. I ordered their traditional only carbon arrows for my recurves and they shoot great.

Your way too positive! -
I have a Timney for a Rem 700 I need to dig up and sell cheap, just sitting in my extra parts. I have a Timney on my Mauser and its awesome.

cool find. Im seeing more lizards out for Feb than I though possible too. My property backs up to a wash in Havasu, so I'll be keeping a close eye on the snakes really soon.

I've spoke with the refuge manager, it's because big game hunting is not allowed on the refuge. its shotgun only shooting non toxic shot. They had allowed an archery hunt in the past but said it just made them nocturnal and even harder to get. Refuges are Managed by USFW, so AZ Game and fish have absolutely nothing to do with it. I'd l

Women's Javelina Hunting Camp 2015 - An Amazing Experience!
Havasuhunter replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Javelina
Great job. Looks like a beautiful place for a great event. I use to pu on Women in the outdoors events in CA. Great to see more and more women getting out in the field. On a side note, a Jack Rabbit was my only harvest on my Javelina hunt too. I deboned it and put it in the crockpot with green chilis and a few other ingredients. It was delicious in burritos with black beans, rice, cheese and salsa. You get a lot of meat off of a Jack. -
Cool. I haven't seen one yet either.

I have a 5.7 tundra and it hauls what I need just fine. Takes a lot of weight to justify a diesel these days.

I'm going to put Bilsteins on my Tundra. My Tacoma has fox shox, obviously I agree with the get a Toyota statements above too.

Ditto on the 6.0 power stroke. Loved that truck, hated the engine and associated repair costs.

I've got no use for people that don't properly contain and control their dogs regardless of species.
