Scents have not worked for me at all I have tried at least 4-5 different doe and mock scrape type scents and left them within view of my cam and not even had a deer investigate the smell. I also took a leak out of my treestand into the snow 25 minutes before I shot the buck in the picture. My 2 cents on scents.

I heard they had a super genetic supplemental "smart feed 2.0" that does not cross contaminate saliva. The bison would be the only animals to eat the feed, therefore the spread of disease would not be possible.

I want to thank Will K from this site and all the others who helped me out on this hunt. I am very happy to say I shot my first elk ever this year at 35 yds with a bow nothing is more fun than chasing those creatures during the rut. we had a great hunt with opportunities at bigger elk but I could not pass this one up. Thanks CWT and Will K your knowledge of the area and willingness to help out were great. PS my daughter just cant wait for the elk snack sticks. LOL

Yes case included. -
Bullet Pens Hi CWTLRS my father in law has been turning these pens on a lathe the camo comes from an acrylic blank and the wood shown in the picture is a salted maple. We are selling this style for 25 bucks they take a "parker" inc refill that you can buy at staples. He also makes bolt action pens that look similar with the 308 shell. Email me if interested. He also makes regular wood pens on the lathe that run around 10 bucks good idea for a wedding party or something. Thanks for checking them out. Charlie

A friend of mine name Eric Loefler did this out of his garage TradingPost Taxidermy it turned out really good final score was 90 one of the points did not count because the mass measurement out at the tip was still wider than the point was long but I am still very proud and it looks good over the kitchen table.

I was very blessed this weekend to take my second coues with a bow. I am also thankful for this website and the members for helping me to achieve this dream/goal. Here is a pic and short story. I love hunting these little critters. Last Jan this buck just would not cooperate I shot at a smaller buck and missed and the season ended. This year I moved my set just a little further from the truck and onto a NE facing slope. Opening morning this buck and 2 does busted me because the stand was eye level with the trail they came in on. In much frustration I spent nearly all of Jan 1st moving my stand to a different tree. Then the warm weather hit and this buck went nocturnal. He was on cam every night. Then every day I watched does feed and hang around my spot for 2-3 hours. Eventually the temp dropped and moon shifted. So saturday I hunted no luck he showed up on cam that evening just after dark. The next morning I had to work but he was on cam chasing does for nearly 2 hrs the rut was on. I was able to get up there mon. After 4 hours of sitiing in snow, rain, wind, cold, clouds I just strated shivering and was contemplating leaving. I did not think deer moved around in weather like that. But then a doe came in 2hrs after they had every day prior for 2 weeks. This buck was the fourth deer to come in he checked few does and made few circles around my location finally offered a nice 30 yd shot and came to rest 80yd away. I had sat this stand 7 different times waiting for this oppurtunity all the work and effort finally did pay off.I was stoked I thought he was a 4x4 but turned out to be a 5x5 great mass someone roughed scored him at 97in and I cant wait to get the mount back from the taxidermist. Thanks for reading Charlie Rust Here is couple pics of him the day before.
