    Happy Birthday bonecollector

    Happy belated birthday!!!
  2. My kids and I are always pretending to shoot them down as they fly above us. We were swimming at a friend's house a few weeks back and while I was floating on a couple of float noodles, I mentally shot down a couple hundred doves. Can't wait for Sept 1st to come around. Bacon wrapped with jalapeno and pineapple in the middle. Can't beat it. May have to try the pepperjack idea.
  3. Hey BG! I hope you are enjoying your new ride! TJ It's been great. My wife loves it. I picked up a couple of small Suzuki 90cc for my kids shortly after I took the Polaris home and we hit the trails at Boulders 3-4 times before the heat came. Can't wait to take it out on a hunt one day. We'll probably hit the trails again around October when it cools down. Thanks again and hope you and your family are doing well. Here's a few pics of our outing.

    Atv mechanic in n phx

AEO Powersports (19205 N 83rd Ave #108, Peoria, AZ 85382). I just brought my ATV to them a few months ago and they got it running right (I tried to work on it myself but I just couldn't make it right). A friend of mine has been going to them for years and that's why I gave them a shot. I bought one of my sons quad from R ATV and they were very pleasant to deal with. So pleasant that I will bring my ATVs to them whenever I need to something done I can't do myself. They're just down the road from my house so that's a bonus.
  5. I did mines online last week with no issues. Crossing fingers and waiting for the complaint threads to start so I can enjoy some light reading during my breaks at work. Good luck to you all.
  6. I never really thought about this. When I bought my hunting quad, I assumed as long as I stay on the dirt roads with it, I shouldn't run into any legal problems. Reading all the posts, looks like I may have to re-think this. Mine is already street legal (thanks to previous owner, Tucson John) and I registered it with an MC plate in case I wanted to ride it on the streets. All I need to do is add it to my MC insurance policy and it's good to go.

Not bad for a 14 year old!

Awesome post. Brag all you want about your kids...I do . No shame in being proud of your kid's accomplishments as long as you do so in a respectable manner while making sure your kids continue to do great things with a humble demeanor. Keep up the great job (your son as well as the rest of your family).

    Gun Control-Inconvenient Facts

    Nice video.
  9. Nice and thanks for posting this. My oldest son just turned 10 so time for us to practice as he's now able to go for big game. He's a good shot with his Crickett and want to get him a 243 for his first centerfire rifle. I will definitely use this technique.

    Window tint in east valley??

Not in the east side, but I've brought all cars I've purchased since 2006 to SunDanser at NE corner of 51st Ave & Bell Rd, Glendale. Haven't had a problem yet. I still have my Yukon that was tinted back in 2006 and the tint is still in great condition.

Looking for 20 gauge for my son...

Thanks for the suggestions and comments...
  13. Hey folks, Before I go out to Cabela's (or the gun shop around the corner) shopping, thought I'd see if anyone here was thinking about getting rid of one from their collection. My son is 10 y/o, about 4'+ tall and 56 lbs. He's never shot a shotgun before. Looking for something he can handle well. I have my eyes on the Mossberg 500 Super Bantam at 20 gauge w/22" barrel. I had him hold and aim my Mossberg 500 12 gauge with the 18" barrel. He couldn't aim right with the limb saver recoil pad on but when i took it off, it felt more comfortable for him. Without the recoil pad, the LOP was 12". I actually cut off an inch from the stock so with the recoil pad, LOP is 13" and it's perfect for me. Hoping to get him something to use for the next dove season but want to get it at least a month or two before so we can go out and practice with it. I plan on getting some low recoil shells (980 fps) to start him off with. If you have anything, please post here or PM me with pics, price and location. Also, looking for anyone's personal opinion on the Mossberg 500 Super Bantam in case one doesn't come up for sale here. Good starter gun for a small kid? Thanks in advance. Ben

    .22 LR

I heard the government is using them for training cause it's cheaper to shoot the the regular rounds used. So they buy millions of them and leave a few thousands for the rest of the country. Not sure the validity of that statement. Just what I heard

who has the best chinese food in phx?

+1 here. Big Heng was the first restaurant that came to mind when I saw the subject. I live like 5 min from them and we eat there when we can't think of what to eat at a given night. I'd like to add that they're fast in getting out the food regardless of how busy they are. For Thai I like to go to Touch of Thai on Bell Ave west of I17.

    1998 Polaris Sportsman 500 4x4

For those that know a lot about quads, does this sound like a good deal? 1998 Polaris Sportsman 500 4x4 650 miles $2500 obo Body looks decent from pictures. Assuming it runs good when I inspect, I'm thinking of asking $2000 and meeting him somewhere in the middle. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Nice price. Would have jumped on this if I didn't just buy a Polari (yesterday). Good luck with your sale.

    What are your thoughts?

Interesting idea. I like the idea of educating your children at an early age. My kids won't even touch our pellet rifle without asking first. In fact, I have to ask them to come out and do target shooting with me. They won't pick one up and pretend to shoot or point at any living thing. I can trust that they will not touch any of my firearms. They know that if they ever want to handle one out of curiosity that I will always allow them with my supervision. In military situation I'm sure that our soldiers would want to be able to use another firearm in case theirs is lost or becomes disabled. I don't want my firearms to have any computerized parts. Keep it simple stupid.
