I was going to scout this weekend, but..... holy cow what a zoo! The last two weekends were great in 4B. I found bulls and cows and heard some bugling. Labor Day Weekend was crazy! Razors and side by sides driving a hundred miles an hour and 50' Class A's crammed in every nook and cranny! The worst part was the battle of the bands concert till 1am! I thought I was at Country Thunder! I drove up Saturday night and left first thing Sunday morning after taking a few practice shots with the bow. The drive home was interesting as well. I'm sure that I didn't have the traffic that folks had on Monday, but the nuts were over the top! Weaving in and out of lanes and there was an eighteen wheeler that drove off the road at the top of one of the 87 switchbacks! Hopefully the elk will settle down and go to their normal pattern on opening day. Good luck, boys and girls and be safe!

Pack whatever you're comfortable with and just don't get in between a sow and her cub and you will be just fine! Bottom line, enjoy your hunt and don't worry about the bears so much. Black Bears are usually more aggressive than a grizz anyway.

10 more days... Been scouting the last two weekends and the cows are hanging out in the same area, of course this can all change on opening day. I'm looking forward to a nice fat cow for the freezer! If anybody's hunting 4B, I'll do my best to give ya a hand if need be.

Smoking price, but remember that you get what you pay for. I had a Kipor 3000 generator (Honda knockoff) and ran well for a while until it started falling apart. I finally broke down and bought the Honda 2000 ui. Remember you are buying the Honda clone when purchasing the Wen model. If you won't use it often, you probably wont go wrong for that price, but if you plan on using your genny for years, I'd stick with what works and has a great warranty. I look at this like glass. Don't buy Buschnell when you really wan't Swarovski. Of course this is just my humble opinion.

Um... yes, you can replace the clutch separately from the compressor! If I had seen this thread earlier, I'd have sent you to Acuna Automotive. The most honest mechanic I know!

I have an 03 6.0 and have had a few problems, but nothing major other than losing two injectors under warranty. I've gone through a couple FICMs and a couple alternators, but these are easy to replace and fairly inexpensive if you know where to buy them. Look up diesel tech Ron on Youtube for maintenance suggestions. I haven't bulletproofed mine and she still runs great!
