A friend of mine just got hit today,maybe next in line tag? no phone call, unit 9 first choice unit 23 second choice.

There is still hope guy's, people will be getting hits the next few days off declined cards.

I heard today that there was more than 800 cards declined this year.

We put in for unit 9 cow early and late rifle for first and second choices. No hit yet, but have about a 50% chance of drawing. Still hoping for a cc hit! Well maybe we still have a chance and good luck on the draw!

I put in for cow on first and second choice. My card got hit on Friday and so did my husband who put in for archery bull. He this is his second year in a row getting archery bull and we are very thankful since my father passed away a couple days into his hunt last year. Sorry for your loss. I hope you guys have a wonderful hunt this year and fill both tags.

Taking a buddy on the archery hunt to try and get down a buck bigger than that down, i am filming the hunt, hopefully we get some good footage to post up for you.

I would say muley because i have passed on a 120 plus coues while sitting water.

If he does not get one i have some spots you could hunt during the archery hunt and then you could just sign over your tag to your son. Give me a ring if you are going out to hunt archery and i will give you some info

A few of my buddies have the tag this year, 6 of them with the 13A tag, You will do just fine getting a nice buck with alittle research and scouting, if you are looking for the biggest buck out there you will spend many hours and lots of money out scouting.If you can i would get out to your spot 5 days before the hunt starts and watch the deer and be ready for opening morning.. For sure, if you need my rifle, bullets,topo's with the best spots and gas card let me know.i will just spend the time and money to find another spot to hunt

I think you could draw the tag with 0 points, just as fast as having 8 points, you are one of the lucky ones that draws good tags every year or you are one of the unlucky ones like myself that cant draw a leftover tag. I know guys that draw strip tags back to back and guys that draw prime elk tags 5 years straight. Hopefully you get it next year and the year after that to make up for the long wait

The Grave Digger blades are adjustable also with a set screw, so you can adjust them and see what works best with lower poundage and higher if you shoot up to 80lbs. I think they ship out adjusted for 70lbs but you can set them for your son to get better performance at a lower poundage. Just wanted to point that out if you did not know already and congrats to your son on the javi!
