Anyone have a 25-06 they want to get rid of?

Had to make room in a freezer so I boiled this Javelina and coues I shot last September. I had read that some people had luck with leaving velvet in a freezer for 6-12 months and that essentially would freeze dry the velvet. Didn’t work for me so I had to strip it and of course it was just bone white. I had tried staining antlers before with just wood stain but I wasn’t satisfied with the results. Tried to do something a little different with this to get a more natural look and am pretty happy with it. I first put on some mud then used motor oil then some darker stain.

It was a little sticky. I’m gonna let it sit for a few days more then wipe off and put a clear coat over.

Saw this raghorn in unit 1 yesterday while out walking with my wife and kids. Watched him for a few minutes before realizing he just didn’t seem right. Expected him to bolt with the kids being loud and the 2 year old screaming but he didn’t care at all. He seemed super confused, unsteady at times and did this spin for minutes at a time. I walked to about 30 yards from him in the open and there was no fear in him. He then laid down where is in the video (less than 100 yds from our camp) a little before 4 and got up right before 7. First thing I thought was CWD but wanted to see what you guys think? IMG_1486.mov

Interesting.. wonder what made him think that? Visible burns or something? This bull was for sure not right but saw no injuries.
