They totally are Lance. I tried 165 and 168 and had all dif types of groups. The 180 is the best grn I found for my gun. -
Looks like the same one to me. Very distinct spread on this guy.

Why did you sell it? -
I understand both sides of this. My point would be if I were hunting and saw a vehicle parked with people sitting in it that last thing I would do is PARK right next to them to go do my thing. I thinks it's rude and shows lack of hunter morality. MO (i know i will catch heck for that comment) I may park down the road and approach them to see if they had a game plan and then adjust my hunt to give myself the advantage without trying to screw them up.. On the other hand, It is public land and there are MANY people that don't care who is around and they DO have the right to do THEIR thing. All legal. Had a guy once get into MY ground blind I spent 2 days building and was sitting on MY hunting chair. The old "I'm here first" came out and we did get into a heated argument only because he didn't even want to give me my OWN chair back. Kinda thought that was a tactless move.

Thanks guys. I believe that was what my heart was telling me to use. Now you all confirmed it. Accubond and a 350+ bull coming my way. -
My pointy exactly Bill. I really believe that if the genes are there and have been you can expect good horn growth wet or dry.

Thanks Hoss50. I was leaning towards the Accubond. I did have a friend I helped in 87' drop a small bull with the Bronze point from about 550yrds. Very impressive round I thought. -

Well Alpine, I am no expert about their antler growth. I will however say that when a man with a record book elk that has shot many others with a bow gives me a tip on this I tend to pay a little more attention to him. I assume the food sources they eat would have something to do with this as well. I found that some desert mullies in the southern part of unit 21 have some impressive growth and the water there is very scarce at times. I have always seen bigger than usual antler growth. Minerals in the ground in that area however are extremely high. This an article I read about "ANTLER GROWTH". I guess the one part of this article that baffles me the most is "Some of the best animals were taken during one of the worst drought years ever" http://www.muleymadness.com/articles/antler-growth-101/

I want to reload, I need advice....
murfys69law replied to ctracingraptor's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
You are correct about NOT being able to save money reloading Lance. When Osama Bin Lyin' started this gun control crap along with a bunch of other tree huggers the price of powder, primers, cases, bullets, etc.. went thru the roof. That's why you can't find a box of 22LR for sale anywhere. Reloading tho has brought all my rifles into better groups after working up my own reloads for each gun. -

My friend Dusty who held the New Mexico state record P&Y for a while has told me that if we have a wet season a good way to tell is by looking at the 4th and 5th antlers. If they are getting good moisture during the last part of their growth the 5ths will be bigger. If not you have a big 4th and smaller 5th and 6th. Makes sense to me.

There is one thing I totally agree with in your article. Clothes you wear. I missed a pig at 15yrds because my string hit my sleeve. Happens more that you probably hear about. I did get a second chance and dropped him in his tracks with a fixed 4 blade rocky mountain BH. This was years ago before the newer BH had come out.

I think we all know that our justice system, or lack thereof needs work. Murderers get off by technicalities and someone who made a mistake on their taxes does 5 years. Very confusing.
