I did get the Vortex 6x24 50mm PST EBR 1 FFP and is was at an incredible price. I can't say how much as I promised I wouldn't tell. I can't wait to get it mounted and start the tests. Thanks to all who added your comments either pro or con. I will let you know how it works out.

Been there...Done that...nuf said. I feel your pain.

As soon as I get this scope mounted I am shooting 5 dif loads ALL with 165 grn accu-bonds. You will get 10 dif answers to that question like I did. Some say heavier bullet but I shot heavier and want to try something a little faster that will still kill at long range. Good luck Bob.

Sorry I missed it too, Mike. Hope it was a good one.

Me either

Is this your first Sightron? If so let me know what you think once you've used it.

If that's the case then Vortex warranty is the way to go I guess
-
Yeah. I had 2. the 3x9 5 star accutrac and another one that was the 3x9 Wideview accutrac. If you know these scopes they have the yardage post inside so when you dial your magnification up it tells your yardage and then you dial to that. My wideview yardage post just melted for know reason while sitting in my gun cabinet. Sent it back and they said redfield was out of business and they couldn't do anything. Finally found a company that was taking some of there warranty work. They fixed it but it took over a year. I sold the scope and kept the other one. I am replacing it with the vortex as I don't see as well and wanted more magnification. The 5 star was a good one as far as redfield goes but this scope is 30 years old.

That is sooo true. Very nice animals. Good luck with sale.

Just pass that one that's too big then. I will take care of him in Nov.

I just love mules. Had a friend who lived in Sunburst farms with a walking mule that would out walk most horses who were at a good trot. Love that paint. My favorite horses. Is the paint double registered? Had a paint mare with a good breeding as well. She was out of Sonny Bar Maid. Her sister was standing national champ 2 years.

Yeah. I know it's been longer than 10 years since I fished there. Thanks PRDATR

That's an awesome price for such a pedigree background. She has a great confirmation from what I see in the pic. Wish I still had my horse property. She would come home with me. Good luck. She shouldn't last long at that price. BUMP

Suggestions on 3/4 Day Charter Trip out of San Diego
murfys69law replied to Siwash's topic in Fishing
Took my wife on a trip out of PL. 1/2 day with just the capt. and 1 deck hand. Kinda pricey but we had an awesome time. It wasn't the right time of the season for any deep water stuff but we caught tons Calico bass, Barracuda, had a YT swirl on my bait and a nice Bonita which the Capt quickly filleted and chilled and we had awesome sushi about an hour later. My wife said it was one of the best times she ever had. Her first time ocean fishing. -
Been a while since I went to bear canyon. I thought it was artificial lure only. Did they change the rules?
-
You really have issues. Keep thinking like you do and while your at it go poach a few yourself. All you have to do is say you are living off the land. Makes sense to me.
-
WOW..Sounds like you really earned that great bull. Congrats on a once in a lifetime hunt.
-
I disagree. If every landowner did this or all the people living off the land OR say they are, it would have a HUGE impact on the numbers of game in the wild.
-
I feel sorry for the archery hunters in 6b. 5guyshunting has taken out an order of protection against ALL archery hunters good for 100 miles until his season is over. No archery hunters allowed in there.
-
I am getting rid of an original Redfield that was on it. It's the 3x9 accu-trac and I don't think I will use redfield ever again since they changed. In it's day it was middle to upper class but not anymore. MO It's for sale if you are interested. Still looks and works good.

New to reload 270 advice updated question at bottom about how to test loads
murfys69law replied to apache12's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Agree with lance. Any of those loads are good ones to try. Just remember...every gun shoots dif. If you notice tho the Accubond is his most accurate. -
That was me, although technically it was a maroon Dodge. All that mud must have made it look gray! If that was you in the UTVs, thanks for the tip on the roads ahead. Going back the way we came would have SUCKED! IA Born...."YOU GOT A HEMI IN THAT'? That was awesome! You made my day with that one! If you guys have the early rifle hunt, stay in touch. I'll share scouting info with you from my early archery hunt! I've got a camera not far from where we met up. Will do. I will send you a pm with my phone #. Great meeting you.
