How terrible "Pregnant mule deer poached, twins found dead"
murfys69law replied to Titanium700's topic in The Campfire
Dam shame. Hope they catch and hang the bstards. -
That's a great article and basically I agree with every bit of it. Some will still take the 100 yrd shot and some will make a kill and some will wound an animal but the odds are so much against you that I would say pass and try to get closer. JMO

That would be the dreaded 2 headed knob gobbler that speaks with forked tongue.

Spray em real good with deet. Let em dry and you should be good to go.

muledeer33 and wyguy, You two crack me up. Nothing to be afraid of. They're just little ole snakes. If ya get bit it just leaves a little mark and that's all.
-
What's up with the guy that left because of a little ole bear behind his tent. What a pussy. he had spray and a knife. What more do ya need.

This is in Sweetwater Texas. They have the worlds largest rattlesnake roundup. Been there and it is one awesome event. It will definitely make you a little jumpy tho. Very loud when they get to buzzin'

Hahaha!! Not in unit 10. Sorry. : ) Congrats on your tag though man! Thanks buddy. 8 years. Hope i can get a descent one.
-
Now that's funny..I don't care who ya are.
-
It does in every unit except 10 early bull. It only helps for the late hunt in 10.

OMG Bob. And here I thought you were a clean cut, moms apple pie and the girl next door gentleman. Now your talking booby bars and such.

Hunting in unit 21 was always hot night or day. Elk take a lot longer to cool than deer will. One thing I have seen people make a mistake is they don't get the windpipe out and I have found that will spoil quicker than anything. We also took vinegar or pepper and put on meat to keep the flies off. Water never hurt any of my meat and not being so dry I didn't lose that dried out crust all over it.

Awesome pics. Very nice bulls. Since you don't have an elk tag I would be happy to come take care of your elk problem if it's in unit 10.

http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/2125-scouting-trip-sheds/ Alrighty then. That explains that. Thanks buddy

Plus the clear nail polish keeps my hands looking good when I kill that big bull elk.

Outdoorsman's glassing stool
murfys69law replied to 280REM's topic in Western Hunter and Elk Hunter Magazine
Sorry to say I haven't tried that make. I was just making a suggestion and the price was good too. If this is what you have tried and like, be it far from me to change your mind. Like dad said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Good luck in your search. -
Born here, not bred here. I will say that 20+ years ago phoenix and surrounding cities were OK. Now, I think if they ever give the earth and enema, Phx will be the place they put the hose end. Some parts in AZ are ok but for the most part any of the bigger cities suck azz. I would be gone if I didn't have a wife that has a great job here and doesn't want to leave it. Colorado for me someday. Good luck again Bob. I will still be looking for his little brother after you take your big one

You actually said this. I am amazed.

Sold a scope to 40-year-AZ-hunter today and it was a smooth transaction. I want to thank Bruce for this purchase. I took the scope to a friend of Bruce's here in the valley named Terry as Bruce lives in Flagstaff. This is one of the coolest guys I have ever met and ONE HEII of a hunter. His shop had at least 8 HUGE mule deer he has taken over the years with one that just missed the book. He told me this was just a small amount of his trophies. I had the honor of being able to sit down and talk to Terry for about and hour swapping hunting stories and talking guns and ammo. I truly was impressed and thankful for having the chance to meet such a great guy by way of Bruce. It was my pleasure to meet Terry and sell a scope to Bruce. Both are awesome guys in my book. Thanks again, Dan BTW: Terry has an Automotive business here in Phx and he is the kinda guy that will give you a true and honest price for repairs. I will be using him if I need repairs in the future.

It's gone as of this morning. I had that scope for sale about a month ago and no one wanted it. No offers. SOOOOO "40-year-AZ-hunter" got a heck of a deal today.
