Caring for game in the field
murfys69law replied to Matt Meyer's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Rabbits are the easiest to clean and I do them right away. If you grab the rabbit around the neck and squeeze as you work your way down the body the intestines will pop right out the rear end and you can just swing them off. It takes a little practice but no knife is needed and you can keep them for a while before getting them on ice. Not too long tho. When you want to skin them just grab the back fur in the middle with both hands and pull. the hair and skin come apart pretty easy and you just remove the head and legs. Done deal. Quail I clean them as soon as possible too. The longer you wait the stinkier they get and one thing is for sure, QUAIL GUTS STINK. Hope this helps. -
Def looks like it has lab in it. Good looking dog but I have 3 now. I will put the word out. I have a friend that does rescue until she finds a home so don't just get rid of him to any weird place please.

POISON DARTS INSIDE??? Yeah buddy.

No. I wish I did. I had a great place up north of town but got married and had to move cuz of the kids and not enough room and blah blah. I was team roping at the time and had a great jackpot horse.

What they recommend is to spray the tent good as soon as you get it. Let it dry good then I sprayed mine all over the outside with Kiwi Camp dry just to double ensure it. They say use this brand versus the others. Let that dry then you are good to go.

When I worked cattle on the Eagle Creek with Dean Warren we would see so many animals on horse back. It was great. I never tried to shoot off one of his horses but I know for a fact you can do it 1 time for sure. Now down in Louisiana all my horses were trained to be able to crack a whip and shoot a gun. The whip came first as working cattle in the marsh it was needed to move the cattle. Then the guns were next. Pretty much bullet proof horses there. Miss it too.

Do they do one in Phoenix? I would go if I didn't have the long drive.

I bought my 10x14 at the bargain cave for $380+ tax. Brand new. I do the same as knothead with the tarp under it and some old shag rug in front of door. I use a heavy cloth painters tarp I got at harbor freight for about 12 bucks and spread that on the inside before putting in cots and such. easy clean up, just roll it up and take outside and shake it out. Make sure you waterproof it first. Mine stays dry as a bone when out. The awning will catch water so if you offset you polls so it has a slope to it it will help with not holding the water so much. Or do like you said and use an easy up in front.

I fell your pain as wells as a lot of Americans about how corrupt this government has become. I don't think anyone can feel worse than the parents of the young girl killed in San Francisco. The white house, sheriff, and the rest of these castrated morons that are doing nothing about this border problem have to be totally tearing this family apart. If it weren't for Odumba and his failed policies about immigration they would still have their daughter here. That being said, I still have fight in me and I will never give up against this tyrannical government until they are out and I don't think anyone else should either. JMHAmericanO

With the way Odumba and the sheriff in San Fran are acting Chumpo might be staying in the whitehouse with Michelle.

Do any of you archery guys use Aluminum Shafts anymore ?
murfys69law replied to Str8Shot's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
How would you use them for that? Just curious. Easy. Just cut and file to fit your stock. First I drill out the screw holes in the stock with a 3/8" drill then place the arrow in the hole flush against the bottom metal or what have you and mark the arrow where it needs to be cut off. Cut the arrow with a small pipe cutter and file to fit flush with the bottom of the action inlet. I then remove material around the arrow shaft and cut groves for the bedding material and glass bed the piece of arrow in place with the action for a perfect snug fit every time. With pillars installed you can never over tighten the action screws or compress the stock material. Works like a champ. Great idea. Never heard of that. I really have never gotten into bedding much but I would like to do a rifle I have. Thanks for the info.
