Dead on. I replied to a similiar post of yours in another thread.

Rained good at my place in north Phoenix -
I mentioned it in another of the 'camera ban' threads a couple days ago, but several years ago a longtime member here brought up the abuses that were already occurring with ATVs & cameras along with possible abuses drones could bring. He implied the abuses were perversions of their intended use. Given what has happened since then, that comment was pretty accurate.

Is that really you or is someone using your computer to post something that actually makes sense? π
-
This is only a guess, but they likely sent the email to intelligent & semi-intelligent beings only.

After reading this thread, I followed the instructions in the email and had no problems getting in with new name and changing the password. By the looks of the data that will now be stored, applying for stuff will take less typing & box checking.

Yeah, I've treated a few folks who have similar pasttimes like you have.
-
Pretty sure what I referred to likely itches or burns rather than buzzes.
-
Be sure to let us know what you catch.

Maybe stick to what you're used to. Try downtown Nogales. Should find lots of trophies there.

Try trolling.

And that public opinion was based on my 2nd paragraph -- wanton slaughter fueled by the commercialism of cash prizes for such. A lot of hunters supported the ban too. We've gone astray of the topic, so you can have the last word if you choose to use it. π

Nice. Congrats. π

It wasn't meant to do either. It was meant to conserve wildlife by removing the competition aspect that has so badly infiltrated so much of what was once the moral practice of hunting. That is why the predators are still harvested. Offering prizes for mass killings harkens back to the days when commercial hunting led us to the laws and regulations we now have to conserve ALL wildlife. And that is the job of AZ G&F; to deal with all of the state's wildlife, not just that with targets painted on them. But then, I think you already knew all that. π

Predators are wildlife too....

And you have no bias?? π

I provide this directly from the June, 2018 meeting minutes only as information and not to vouch for Sparks' credibility as to what he meant by "called the following major hunting organization...." or if he really did so. 28. Article 3. Taking and Handling Wildlife: Options for Addressing the Use of Trail Cameras. Presenter: Jay Cook, FOR6 Regional Supervisor Mr. Cook presented using a slide presentation to the Commission who asked to be provide options for regulating the use of trail cameras and proposed amendments to rules within Article 3. These options are being presented in response to Commission direction provided at the May meeting to explore new alternatives regarding the use of trail cameras as they relate to fair chase. The complete Article 3 package was presented to the May 4th Commission meeting. Public Comment The following members of the public addressed the Commission in opposition to proposed restrictions to trail cameras: ο· Gino Wullkotte ο· Tory Brolk ο· Andy St. John ο· Joe Sheehey ο· Dorothy Dolan ο· Brian Han ο· Brian Dolan ο· Shane Rhoten ο· Russ Jacoby ο· Laura Jacoby ο· Tom Wagner ο· Gil Chambers ο· Robert Hoffman ο· Gary Drake ο· Brian Fisher ο· Will Randolph Public Comment The following members of the public addressed the Commission in support of Department recommendation on trail cameras: ο· Bruce Johnson ο· Representative Regina Cobb (Not present but submitted an email to the Commission) Motion: Davis moved, Brake second THAT THE COMMISSION VOTE TO APPROVE THE NOTICE OF FINAL RULEMAKING AND ECONOMIC IMPACT STATEMENT Commission Meeting Minutes - 35 - June 8, 2018 AMENDING RULES WITHIN ARTICLE 3, ADDRESSING TAKING AND HANDLING OF WILDLIFE. Sparks commented that he was not present to the last vote that was taken 2 to 2. He did some research and called the following major hunting organization to view their position on this issue: ο· Safari Club International, Tucson - The organization does not see trail cameras either in live action or the chip cameras have any impact on fair chase, they support cameras. ο· Wild Turkey Federation, South Carolina β The organization does not think cameras have an impact on fair chase and most of their members have both cameras who use them in the woods in South Carolina and Georgia. ο· Elk Foundation, Montana β The organization believes that the live action camera is the only one that would have an impact; the chip camera is not a fair chase issue. ο· Boone and Crockett β The organization believes the only possible influence on fair chase is the live action cameras, they do not oppose to the chip camera which most of their members use them. ο· Pope and Young β The organization believes using a game camera does not give unfair advantage. Commissioner Sparks final comment that he has some friends who have disabled children who use trail camera on water and he will vote no on this item. Commissioner Brake commented to the abundance of emails that he had received and responded to. He will be voting yes to the recommendation which addresses his concerns to non-hunters. Commissioner Davis commented that he doesnβt see a benefit going forward with the current motion so he will withdraw his motion. Commissioner Brake withdrew his second. Amended Motion: Ammons moved, Davis second THAT THE COMMISSION VOTE TO APPROVE THE NOTICE OF FINAL RULEMAKING AND ECONOMIC IMPACT STATEMENT AMENDING RULES WITHIN ARTICLE 3, ADDRESSING TAKING AND HANDLING OF WILDLIFE AS PRESENTED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF NO RESTRICTIONS ON PASSIVE TRAIL CAMERAS. Vote: Unanimous

It's not about the game populations, per se. IMHO, it's more in the realm of social engineering -- controlling how people act and react with each other and eliminating conflicts.

Perhaps if you surprise everyone and say something intelligent, no one would bother you.

Great trophy! π

It's been interesting reading through this thread, even a bit humorous, considering another one that occurred several years ago.
