I just googled "year in the life of a beaver" Wow, that was disturbing. I can only imagine!
-
DOn't know much about them myself. I watched a documentary of the Yellowstone area Beaver. They filmed a full year in the life of a Beaver and had an underwater camera. It was very interesting. I know they can cause a considerable amount of damage to the tree's and vegetation in a given area, but that's what Beavers do to survive. I would think any desert area beaver would need much water, no encroachment by man to excel in it's enviroment. But I don't really know.

I could tell you a good story about Bear Spray, and my neighbors howling Chihuahua.

It's been my experience over the years that talking directly to the dog owner is not always a good solution. I did that with my current problem with the neighbors. I asked her nicely if she could do something about the dogs. All they did was give me bad attitude. Big mistake on their part. 5 minutes later I was on the phone to their landlord, and animal control. The landlord paid them a visit the next day. They received a letter from animal control 3 days later. Which is the first step in the process. The situation has gotten better, but these people still like to do things to provoke me. But I hope they understand that paybacks are a bitch. Just one of many dog situations I have had to deal with over the years. Some were not as tame.

Calling Animal Control and starting a paper trail is the best way to go.Tucson adopted some strict animal laws awhile back, but the animal control process is slow, and time consuming, the owners can get fined up to 500 dollars. Unfortunately killing dogs with a weapon or chemicals is considered felony animal cruelty. I have been at war with my neighbors for over a year. Typical people that have no respect, or consideration, for their neighbors. I called animal control, and their landlord. Two of the dogs disappeared, as they are only allowed to have 2. I would love to launch these little A-hole yappers out of a clay pigeon thrower, and splatter them all over the landscape. The amount of sleep I have lost is considerable. THere was a case on the internet news yesterday where the dog owner was sued, and lost, to the tune of $500,000. Now the dog owner is going to lose their house to pay for the judgement. An electronic dog collar is an inexpensive solution to many problems. Most dog owners are oblivious to the problems their dogs are causing for other people. Many just don't care. In most cases it's a bad dog owner. But not always.

The King of Jordan has balls. The only way Obama will do anything, is if ISIS attacks his Golf Courses.

I've been buying lottery tickets for years. Still dirt poor. 3 Points is hardly a smackdown. The Wildcats have a very bad habit of playing down to the level of the competition.

The WIldcats shooting was horrendous today. Lots of fouls. Sean Miller looked like his head was going to explode. I guess it makes it even for that beating we gave you last month

I used to own some property in Sahuarita, just down the road from a couple other members here. It was just over 10 years ago, I was building a wood fence on one side of the house. I had a pile of cedar fencing on the ground. All day I was rummaging in that pile. with no sound from the rattlesnake lying underneath. When I lifted up that last board .....WHAM......that snake struck at my hand. It's head actually glanced off the side. I took my vengeance out on that snake with a flat bladed shovel. It was about three and a half feet long and had a black and white tail. Rattles about 2 inches long.

The photo's are very fascinating. Just think of the pack rat explosion there would be without snakes,

I heartily agree! Thousands of people die every year in Africa, India, and Asia, from snakebites that are exponentially more toxic than what we have here in the states. The Black Mamba, one of the most feared snakes in sub-saharan Africa can kill you in as little as 20 minutes. Although it usually takes 4-6 hours. Without immediate medical attention and anti venom, mortality rates are 100%

We certainly need more hybrid mutt's running around, and scarfing up the limited deer population of the strip. "I'm from the Federal government, and I'm here to help"

THe Fed's are just like Wall Street. They will Hedge their holdings for future leverage, and/or profit. It has nothing to do with the best interests of the hunter or taxpayer.
-
If, by "Eminent Domain" means protecting the interests of those of us that recreate, hunt and fish on public lands, then I'd say thank God. Without Federal lands, our rights and opportunities as hunters and outdoorsman are lost forever. That is unless you are a multimillionaire and therefor could afford to buy your piece of the "sale-off" of our public lands. You are seriously misguided if you think the Fed's have our best interest's in mind. I will let you in on a little secret ....."They don't"
-
The Fed's love their "Eminent Domain", powers.

Being a Liar, and an idiot, is a prerequisite for being employed at any liberal media outlet. You must also own a set of pom-poms, and have an Obama Poster hanging in your office.

Ireland has Haggis and Blood pudding

Had one curled up on the steps by my front door. A couple pellets from the air gun sent it to the happy hunting grounds. Dogs...Kids...and Snakes..in the same area is not a good thing.
-
I'm glad we don't have things like Black Mamba's slithering around the desert
-
THe natural camo of those snakes is pretty cool in itself

Cool photos. I can say with much conviction, that poisonous snakes are not my passion. I did crawl into a snake den once to get video footage for a friend.....I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't cold out. Have you ever found a Timber rattler, All my years in the mountains, I have never seen one.

Need I say more.......Bad...Bad...Offensive play call for the Seahawks at the goal line. You have one of the best running backs in the league, and you throw an INT at the goal line. UGH!

As much as I can't stand the Patriots, it's kind of ironic that I picked them to win the Superbowl this year.
-
I wanted to see his wife chew out the team, for denying him another Super Bowl trophy, like she did the last time.

Wilson shouldn't have thrown that ball in traffic. That loss falls on the play caller.
