Cancer is a brutal disease. My Mom died from brain cancer. A few of my friends and relatives have also succumbed to it. Tough to watch people getting eaten up by Cancer.

An energy efficient unit could pay for itself over time, in electric bill savings.

The Cooling fan motor in the condensing unit is usually the culprit. If the unit is not leaking refrigerant, , there is usually no need to replace the whole unit.

Make sure you don't touch the wiring tabs on the top of the Capacitor with bare hands. Unless the cap is discharged, you will know what it feels like to be Tasered. Its an easy fix if it is just a Cap. The blower motor in the air handling unit, will often have a run start capacitor also. Is the wood pecker sound coming from the condensing unit outside, or do you hear the sound from inside the house close to the Unit?

Financing vehicles is about the worst thing that's ever happened to the American consumer. $60k+ for trucks.... give me a break! They really don't even make that much money on the vehicles anymore, most of the money is made through the financing. Finance it new, then it gets traded in, financed again, then traded & financed again.... etc. I had a pretty nice jeep commander that had been paid off since the second year I owned it. Planned on driving that thing til it died, but unfortunately it was murdered sooner than anticipated. Had some lady in the next lane over make a u-turn right in front of me and t-bone me. Totaled out the vehicle, and of course she has no insurance. Ended up going down and buying a new truck, and was told if I paid cash I do not qualify for factory rebates. The OTD price of the vehicle would be about $5000 higher than financing. So I financed it, and then paid it off on the third month. Saved about $11k compared to paying the loan for 5 years. Most people have no idea how compounding interest works. Bottom line, if you keep paying interest instead of investing, you probably will work til you die. It's definitely a racket. The first expensive truck I financed twenty some years ago, the payment was as much as my rent at the time. No way am I going to buy a $60k truck.

I just feel like to spend 20k to hunt something you should be independently wealthy. Just my opinion. If i saved 400 a month for sheep for years by the time I had the money I wouldn't be able to part with it to go hunting for a week. But again, this is Dream hunt after I got my crap in order, 500 savings a month is easy. Not saying I want to spend it on a dall sheep hunt but if that was my passion I could. And Im not rich, wealthy, or any of that. You and everyone else on here can save 500 a month. Spending 20k is a different story ....and for the married guy's....convincing the wife is a whole different story.

A 21 day full bag Safari in Tanzania can cost upwards of $100K.

I'm ready to crawl to the north pole on my hands and knees. The older I get, the more living in the desert summers really blows.

Dangerous game hunting, in the wilds of Tanzania.

I'll be dead, before I retire. LOL.

Is it possible that a faulty ground is tripping the GFCI circuit?

My 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4,5.9l V8 with auto trans has a problem. Diagnostic reader says ..... DTC P0500 ...Speed sensor problem. I replaced the tranny and rear diff sensors. I checked the fuses Problem remains. The vehicle starts hard as if there is a load on the engine. will not stay running if I take my foot off the gas, unless it is thoroughly warmed up and driven for 10 minutes. I am a "do it myself" type of guy, and I am a pretty fair mechanic, except for these type of electrical or troubleshooting issues. I have researched the internet, and some guys have had related issues caused by the Anti lock brake module problems? Fuses? Reluctor ring gear? If it was a bad reluctor, why would my truck run fine after its warmed up? Any advice would be appreciated!

Ironically, I was ready to drive down to have the battery tested, when the battery finally decided it had enough. When I installed the new one, I checked the battery cable ground connections, and they were good. I need to crawl under, and check the positive connection at the starter, just to make sure it is secure.

I made the mistake of checking the voltage on the battery after it had ru n for awhile, instead of a cold check. The battery was draining fast, and barely holding enough charge to start the vehicle. The initial starting didnt have enough voltage to keep the vehicle running without keeping my foot on the gas. For some reason, I was relating that issue to the sensor, and should have just had the battery tested from the get go. I neglected to remember the age of the battery, until this thread.

I have a Chilton, but you can't beat a factory manual, when it comes to the comprehensive stuff.

Problem solved. Battery was bad. I went grocery shopping this morning, came home to put them away, and went to go to Pep Boys a couple blocks away. Truck wouldn't start....click...click...click...click.. I pulled the battery and was ready to lug it down the street to Pep Boys, but my neighbor saw me, and gave me a ride. Got good value out of that 75 month battery before it expired. Truck started like a champ, and stayed running. Apparently, the bad battery was throwing a false code, and that is what threw me off with the speed sensor problems. Hopefully that issue is solved. Still have to tackle the transmission service. Thanks for all the input.

It was a heck of a lightning show, and wicked wind storm in mid-town, but not much rain.

Wicked storm hitting Tucson right now. Wind is pretty intense.

And to think, people give me grief for starting a football thread.

Yep. 110/220 has been etched in my funky brain a long time.

Do the mini splits use 110v or 220v?

Didn't even recognize it, and I spent the winter of 2010 living in Bozeman. Never been to Billings though.
