Best wishes to the wife. Hope she is doing better.!
-
Thank you, Amigo. Very generous offer. I am not quite ready for that yet, but could be soon.
-
I am leery also. The price is good, but it has been on the market for awhile, and the mileage is probably why? My old Dodge is ready for the proverbial glue factory, and I don't want another money pit.
-
I had a 2002 Dodge ram with a 4.7. Different motor, but definitely lacking in power.

People on some internet forums claimed the Toyota engines are long lasting if properly maintained. Guys with 300 -400k plus miles on them. One of the drawbacks is the Toyota timing belt usually requires changing every 100k miles, or so they say. Just for grins, I watched a Youtube video of the replacement. A big pain in the rear. Unless this vehicle has had 2 timing belt replacements, it could be due for one ?

I haven't used a mechanic in years, as I do the repairs myself.

Very sorry to hear that. I haven't talked with Mike in some time. He kind of faded off of CWT some years back. Condolences to his family.

So, the computer sitting next to the answering machine was causing the buzz, inside the computer?
-
The Geek Squad will come to your home, but I imagine it is pricey.

These types of issues always spark my internal detective. LoL. Most computer motherboards or maybe the sound card will have a little micro speaker that allows you to hear the beeps or warnings used by bios, or software. Not sure what model your's is, but I would check for a speaker. The big mystery, is how is an electrical component making noise without a power source? Poltergeist?
-
That certainly is a mystery. PSU's are notorious for going bad and causing problems on some computers.
-
Is there any noise coming from the PSU itself, when everything else is disconnected?
-
Computers have an internal standby power supply. It is used to keep the internal clock running. If there is a short, or possible dust buildup, it could cause internal caps to buzz on the motherboard, or transformer. You could pull out the PSU, and disconnect the clip in wire harnesses that power the various hardware, one by one, and see if you can isolate the problem. Does it have an internal speaker?

The heat trap marble from the water heater could have gotten into the water line.

This photo was captured by a pilot, just south of Ennis Montana, in the Madison Valley.

Pretty expensive undertaking to feed hay to that many elk? I imagine some people might do it? Don't really know. When the Grizzlies come out of hibernation, they will cruise the winter range areas, looking for winter kill carcasses to feed on.
-
I have heard that the Montana Wildlife Department tries to work with landowners to allow hunter access to help harvest more cow elk. They are(were) trying to thin the herd in the Madison range, because of the lack of carrying capacity of winter range areas, and other issues.
-
Nowhere. They winter in the Valley where this photo was taken. They live up high in the Madison range in the summer, as well as the Gravelly range on the west side of the river.
-
These elk were not far away from the runway of Big Sky airport. I have driven by there many times. The valley is almost all private property, with the exception of the easement along the river.

I would like to ship all Democrats a million miles away. One way ticket.

Just another sleazy way to bend us over, and make us pay. If something is voted down on the ballot, they will always try to slip more fee's (taxes) in somewhere else. This is a situation, where you don't get a happy ending when screwed.

Foothills got snow. I imagine the far east side did as well?
-
I was hoping to wake up to snow in Tucson. None in mid town, anyway. Drats!
-
Yep, still in wildcat country. Sorry to hear about your ailments, I have a few of my own. At least you pulled through. Father time, has a habit of catching up to us in unfortunate ways. Fight the good fight, brother!
