    Draw Results ???

Thanks! For the life of me I could not remember when the results were posted last year. Colorado and New Mexico both have deadlines of April 2nd-5th approx, and it helps knowing what the results for AZ are before plunking down all that coin for Non-Res draws.
  4. It was unit 27. They had 250 December tags then, now there are only 50.

    Pretty pictures

Nice pics guys. Here is one just for fun. Not really a sunrise, late sun rise if anything. Who wants to guess where it was taken? Hmmmmmmm.........?
  6. In 2003 I was drawn for a December tag with 1 bonus point, and it was second choice.
  7. You are right, my bad! 5 total for one application.

    otc elk tag success ?

If G&F wants to sell all those tags, and guys are willing to buy them, thats great.
  10. What Tony said, plus you would have the application itself, so that would be 5 chips each in the kitty, I think.

    My 2007 December rifle buck

Those main beams almost touch, thats pretty cool. I have never been lucky when it comes to seeing Mt. Lions, sounds like a great hunt!
  13. Boy I sure blew the score on that one, bigger than he looks in photo, one heck of a nice buck!

    Where are we all from?

From Sahuarita, AZ (Tucson area) to New Mexico unit 23 is about 3 to 5 hours depending on where I go.
  15. It's amazing how "Murphy's Law" can rear it's ugly head at the worst possible times. Sorry to hear about your past experiences, but that buck sure is nice, and your December tag finally paid off. Way to go!
  16. I wasn't sure how that ranking system works. But, this is a great website full of good people, great hunters and an excellent source of information. I am honored to be a member!
  17. What can we do to get you into the top ten?

For those here who are owned by dogs

Merry Christmas! Tony, you hit it right on the head, our dog is the supreme owner of our house, thanks to my wife who likes to spoil pets.
  19. I have known the owner and "Mike" of the "Sausage Shop" for many years, I used to work with Kent's brother. I can say that the quality of their game processing has gone way down hill because of the fact that they have too many animals to process and run a deli at the same time and are sacrificing quality for quantity processing. This is simply unacceptable. Even though they still make excellent smoked sauasge and specialty stuff, they have gotten very sloppy with everything else. Last year I sent my wife over to pick up my deer meat, they were rude and short with her, and my order was not processed the way I told them I wanted it. After reading about your bad experience, I can say that they have lost me as a customer.
  20. Way to go! Nice looking camp setup, and pics.

    December Buck

    Very nice!
  22. I simply don't do dumb things, I am the perfect example of the hunter that everyone else strives to be! When I was 11 or 12 years old I went quail hunting with my Dad and I spooked a heard of Javelina, I proceeded to shoot one in the butt with my 20 gauge. I did not know about permits or legal game regs , and boy was my Dad mad. The Javelina was far enough away that it wasn't injured, but I did proceed at becoming very familiar with the regs and rules after that. In 1996 I was practicing for a motocross race up at the track in Eloy, I hit a lip on the top of a big double jump and came down 10 feet out of the air and landed on my tail bone (cracked the core) anyway, ended up in emergency and all that 2 weeks before deer season. Went hunting anyway, my Dad thought it was hilarious that I was carrying a big blue rubber donut on my backpack to sit on while I tried to glass, needless to say it was the most painful hunting trip I have ever been on. I stay on 4 wheels from now on.
