I will see your $20, and raise you $5.00. If anyone liked the pedestal that was done for Scottyboy's Zebra, I will be willing to donate the labor portion in cash to Amanda, if anyone would like me to build them one. the price starts at $325.00 - $150.00 material and $175.00 labor (Web member price only), otherwise I would be willing to donate one for the big buck contest/ -
Its true. You can't beat Wisconsin for all the great cheese and food! I haven't been there since I was a kid, Whitewater State park. But my cousin from MN and his boy just went to a packers game a couple weeks ago and sat in the "Lambeau leap" section.

There used to be a good place just before the turnoff to Sunrise Ski resort. real nice hill with a long landing zone. I think it is still popular?

No. But you will need a guy named Bubba to help you carry it around

Here's my new long range weapon. 2000 yards, no problem

Hunting ethics are a widely debated topic and everyone has to choose their own . If someone is capable of consistent accuracy at 600 yards, good for them. Doing all you can to find a wounded animal is an ethical thing to do, but sometimes animals are not recovered, it is not against the law. Your freind should chalk it up as a loss and continue hunting, and just report it as such on the questionaire, there is no shame in that. Most hunters have made bad shots at some point in their lives.

3 bulls and over 1000 inches of bone……
Snapshot replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Other Big Game
Thats excellent. I love seeing those big bulls. Lets see, 1000 inches of antler would equal ten years of a 100" Coues every year -
Superb!

I will always share a little good info on some units, just not my personal spots. Over at the MM website I gave a guy some info for his son on the youth hunt and they took a small whitetail during that hunt and he came back and thanked me for the info, which makes it all worth while, especially helping out the first time young hunters. On the flip side, many years ago I took a first time hunting friend to one of my hotpsots in unit 27, and the next year he and his buddies all applied, and they told their buddies and so on, hotspot wasn't so hot anymore. Lesson learned!

Most people don't have a problem helping you with general info on where to start looking, but come on. That is ridiculous. There is a feature on the website to have a private converstion if you wish to share that kind of specific info. Sorry, had to vent. I think your just a ornry son of a gun Just kiddin with ya bro! I hear what your saying, in my pictures of the buck I shot in unit 27 in October, I know of one or two individuals who will be looking for that spot next year based on the landscape becuase I would not tell them exactly where I hunt Sometimes my generous nature overides common sense

Great Hunter Gone
Snapshot replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Thats sad indeed. Sorry to hear it, best wishes to the family and friends! -
On my way to work this morning I ran over a Bobcat up by Goulder Ranch Road in Catalina, the dang thing ran across the road, stopped, and then ran back across the road. By the time I hit my brakes it was too late. Thump! I did not have time to stop and look or I would be late, but it was gone on my way home! I hate running over animals, except if it was a coyote I would have backed up and run over it twice

Reccomend any good books for me?
Snapshot replied to Mr. Jonathan's topic in Hunting and Outdoors-related books
. A couple of good books on the North America theme are: "One Man, One Rifle, One Land" by J.Y. Jones. He's a southern state's dental surgen turned author of hunting books. This was written after he took all the huntable species and subspecies of big game in North America with his only rifle, a .30-06. He's a quiet, unassuming guy who doesn't brag in person or print, but it took a lot of determination, time, and skill to complete that quest. Bill Quimby It's funny you should mention it Bill, I pulled J.Y Jones Book off the shelf to read last night! My Dad has a small collection of good books including the entire Capstick and most Ruark, but my stepmother is an evil woman and I doubt she will ever let me have them. -
Very nice! Looks like a good sized cat too!

2205 Beans. Just don't let redrabbit near any more beans -
A guy at work mentioned that very thing! That would be the most wild excuse ever. Boss, I can't come in because I got maimed by a Bobcat that I ran over Reminds me of that Jeff Foxworthy comedy where the guy picked up a beaver that he ran over, and then picked it up and the beaver bit the guy's nipple off!

On December 14th the Arizona Cardinals will be hosting my beloved Minnesota Vikings. A group of us will be coming up early to tailgate before the game. If any one is going to be at the game or would like to go, I will update info on where we will be tailgating. Stop on by and have some food and drink, we will have plenty.

I should have updated my thread as I did not make it to the game either. My wife has a medical problem in her shoulder blade and is in extreme pain and discomfort, along with my emergency trip to Minnesota last week, I decided to stay home and watch it instead. It was a sweet victory One more win and a Chicago Bears loss and we win the division.
