Good luck! I may be getting laid off in a week, and I may take a few days to myself (hopefully!), and go up to my spot and see if I can find one or two. Post some pics if you can.

I will have a cold brew or two in your honor Happy Birthday!

My wife and I can not have any more children, but if I could have a son, I have always been partial to the name "Jericho".

I always use money orders.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but Amanda asked me at the party if she could see some of my work, I had just delivered everything at the time and had nothing in my shop, so here it tis!

It's simply a supply and demand situation. The more demand, the more $$$$$$. The manufacturers have the capability to meet the demand.

Aplications & the Economy

I applied for Elk as usual. Bonus point only for Antelope. A big construction project I wan't to be in on falls heavily during the Antelope season and I don't want to burn all those points if I was lucky enough to get drawn and not be able to hunt. -

The "Spending Bill"
Snapshot replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
It all comes down to politicians saying things that Americans want to hear to make them feel better. Obama comes on television and says we will spend 900 billion dollars to "stimulate" our economy, the uneducated or the politically ignorant populace will believe they are being saved. B.S. If the government wants to save our economy then they need to initiate help programs and safeguards to make sure the things that put us in this mess does not happen again. Help the average joe, and let these big corporations fend for themselves. -
Only 3 people showed up, so it was pretty low key. No pics were taken!

Thanks for having us over bro. The brisket and beans were excellent. It was great sharing stories, and Jim brought a couple of huge racks taken in Mexico recently.

Boy's first big game rifle, suggestions?

I forgot to mention that you could always get him a larger more powerful caliber and put a muzzle brake on it to reduce the felt recoil. My semi custom 30-06 has a muzzle brake, and it shoots like a .243, however, It is a loud son of a gun when you shoot it without hearing protection. -
Letters To The Editor

There are some people in this world, that if you handed them a suitcase full of gold, they would complain about how heavy it is. I have jet fighters fly over the area that I live everyday, and some are quite low, but I give them a big thumbs up because it is my freedom they protect, and the noise is a minimal price to pay for that freedom. -

A .470 Nitro Express. If he can handle that, then everything else is cake. I would pick a .270. When I was 12 my Dad got me a Remington 788 in a .308 caliber. That gun was a short barreled beast that kicked like a mule with no recoil pad, it was not a pleasant gun to shoot for a bony 12 year old. -
All right Tucson boy's and girl's, drop your rocks and grab your socks. Head on over to the BBQ hosted by Texashunter this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. Bring your wives and your racks (antlers) , come have some BBQ, kick back some cold ones, and see the faces that go with the name.

No worries TJ, we are going to have another big party in July down the street from me at Antlerdog's house, and we are going to make sure that it falls on a weekend you are not working
-
Would it be o.k if we started around 3:00?, I know a few more people that are going to try and make it .

Nice looking rig. Also great ingenuity on the " Claw", its nice to be able to fabricate your own stuff. How did your rig end up grouping for you?. I would like to build a nice .300RUM for myself one of these days
