Great job on a awesome bull. Sounds like you had a great time! -
Excellent!

When it comes to man challenge, I can whip just about anybody in the 12oz. curl contest , but in a marathon or iron man, I would probably fall over dead within 2 miles.

Nice!

No real hunting pranks. But some years back I took the wife, stepdaughter, and a couple of her young cousins camping up on the North fork of the Whiteriver. After we settled into the tent for the night I slipped out and started growling and snarling and scratching the side of the tent. Talk about screaming they hated me for the rest of the night

Thanks Brent but I'm no where close to being a gentleman. I just can't get enough of being in the woods. My wife saids I have a sickness. TJ I don't think there is a cure for our sickness, except to just spend more time in the woods!

Aspens on the San Francisco Peaks

Wow! Thats some beautiful scenery right there. This is the best time of year. Leaves are changing color, elk bugling, and deer season around the corner. Gotta love it. Nice pics Doug! -
Sounds like they are hitting their peak. TJ, you are a true gentleman to offer your help to a stranger! His loss by not taking you up on it!

I went out on a limb on the AFC pick, but I like to be different! Amanda, The Pack have a great facility and fan base. Strange as it may sound, I have always liked the Packers a little, even though they are rivals.

Happy Birthday Bill! May your day be a good one, and I wish the best for you and yours! Many happy returns!

A very handsome mount!

Thats a great bull.! Nice to see pictures of the younger generation scoring on some great animals!

Murphy's Law! Its true you can carry a gun all year long, even if a season is closed, but a G&F officer will probably consider you guilty until you prove otherwise. Carrying out a dead animal and a weapon at the same time after the season is closed would require some explaining in the rare event an officer did find you.

What do you think of this terrain...?
Snapshot replied to Hunter1432's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Since you have the late December hunt, it won't be too crowded. But if those pics are from around Rosemont, its not a great place for hunting with all the non-hunting activity in that area. -
I forgot to mention earlier, that you did the right thing by getting your son out of there. Don't give up your passion. If we hunt long enough, we will all have bad hunting trips and experiences. Hopefully, the person who shot the arrow learned a lesson after you let your presence known.

The way things are now days, I would leave my weapon behind and hope to find a dead animal. I hate to see an animal suffer if it was still alive, but living with the guilt of breaking the law, and the possibility of getting caught in the filed the day after with weapon in hand, would weigh heavily also.

Favre worked some magic on that drive and pulled out a heck of a touchdown! , Favre was tired and beat up by the end of that game!

Anyone know Ryan and Regan McCarthy?

Ditto! -
Very glad you and your son are o.k. That was a scary, and what could have been, a letal situation. People shooting blindly into the bushes have no business being in the field with a license. Sounds like the culprit was throwing a desperate hail mary arrow in the hopes of getting something My hot blooded Norwegian temper would have got the best of me in a situation like that.

It is not uncommon to see bears down low when good food is available, or they are on the prowl for food. 2 years ago in early September, I saw a monster of a bear right next door in 34A at about 3500' elevation. He was right in the cactus and palo verde tree's.
