Yep! I guess I missed seeing the crankbait! I was to busy oggling the big fish I never seem to catch many fish on cranks, I usually do best on soft plastics bounced along the bottom and jigs, and spinnerbaits. A freind of mine can't catch fish on anything but cranks. Go figure! Glad you and Peg had a great valentines. Its fun to spend special time like that

Nice fish TJ.! I am going to go to Roosevelt this spring when the fishing gets hot! Can't wait. I did not get a chance to go fishing last year. Never been to Saguaro. What are you catching them on?

The lakes are always a good bet to have some fun fishing and camping all in one. I am going to camp out at Roosevelt for a few days as soon as the good fishing takes off.

TJ, Well said my freind! A hunting partner such as your father, is a freind and companion, that can never be replaced. Hopefully he can still hang out in camp with you and, there will always be those stories and memories of yesteryear, in which you can share while he is still there with you. I lost my father, a few years ago, who was also my great freind and hunting companion, and hunting without him is just not the same anymore. Enjoy the good times with family and freinds!

I have always been opposed to the wolf program. Mainly as I hunt in the unit in which they were originally released. If anyone thinks that wolves don't have a significant impact on the huntable game population, guess again! Wolves are one of the few predators that will actually hunt for sport, and just to kill something. Wolves are viscious killers. I am not sure if the Mexican wolf is as aggressive in that fact as the Candadian wolves.? Just ask the ranchers in Montana how they feel about the reintroduction of Wolves! It makes me wonder why.? It is not as if the general public can pull off the side of the road and look at the "pretty wolves" like you can some animals in Yellowstone. I would just as soon see Grizzly bear back in the Arizona wild, but I know that can not happen because of man's encroachment, and the problems it would create. The Fed's and the people who oversee the wolf projects just don't want to admit defeat, and that it is a waste of money and resources. Let it go! I wonder if there would be a way to calculate the number of big game animals killed by wolves every year, and come up with a monetary figure for the revenues that G&F could have, if the wolves were not present? Just a thought.

I have made some silent prayers for Lt. Shuhandler and his family and freinds. This is very sad situation. I feel for him and his family. May they find the strength to overcome their sorrow, and I hope a fitting tribute is made to him for his services to the people of Arizona and this nation. God speed!
