FWIW there was a new law passed and we are now allowed to carry concealed in National Parks. Thanks for the heads up on the new law. I will look into it.

I certainly understand, and agree, with what you guys are sayin. However, one of the other setbacks is having someone tell us "Where" we can carry our guns. We can carry our guns all day long in the streets, but not in a national park or the multitude of business establishments that forbid firearms. Now if we could just carry concealed on an airplane, hijackings would become a thing of the past! but then again, if a bunch of people opened fire on a plane everyone would probably die anyway if they started shooting holes in the fuselage. I have a freind that refuses to fly, because he can't carry his gun, and they won't let him drive the plane He is a kook!

Since Mike posted a great Vasectomy joke, I couldn't resist adding a humorous story. A wealthy old Gentleman decides to go on a hunting safari in Africa, taking his faithful, elderly dog named Killer, along for the company. One day the old dog starts chasing rabbits and before long, discovers that he's lost. Wandering about, he notices a leopard heading rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch. The old dog thinks, "Oh, ho! I'm in deep doo-doo now!" Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the leopard is about to leap, the old dog exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious leopard! I wonder, if there are any more around here?" Hearing this, the young leopard halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees. "Whew!", says the leopard, "That was close! That old dog nearly had me!" Meanwhile, a monkey who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the leopard. We should just change the name to " The United States of Mexico" I read some statistics somehwere that a big percentage of those illegals caught and returned to Mexico have a criminal record. Maybe Obama can just give them all a free handgun, and a pat on the back as they cross the border.

Thats funny, but very true! I remember the day of blowing things up and fighting after school and visits to the principals office, all the innocent stuff we did as kids that are so highly frowned upon today by a weak society. If I got out of line as a kid, I would get a whoopin, if what I did was bad enough. The fear of physical punishment worked very well Today, kids get put in time out. Give me a break!

I have never taken a life, and I hope I never have too. But I agree with Scottyboy in the fact that I would not lose any sleep when it comes to exterminating the "Vermin" of this world. The biggest problem in this country is that we have become entirely "Too civilized", in regards to dealing with people that are not civilized. A little "Barbarism" would go along way in curing the problem. The saddest part to all of this is that a good man died for nothing, and the Politicians and media turn a blind eye and bury their heads in the sand. It is sad to realize that only tremendous public presure will force them to do something. Yes, this is the land of the free. But it is not the land of the "free ride"!

I am against it! Criminals are going to hide their weapons anyway. Thats a given. If this passes, a whole new wave of people are going to be carrying guns, that may or may not understand the laws and grey areas of self defense. If someone is serious about CC, they should be instructed and go through the process. The last thing we need is a bunch of gun toting yahoo's, shooting each other for a parking space at Wal-Mart Don't get me wrong. I believe it is the right of every american to own and carry a gun, but like Chef said, there are people who should not be allowed to breed, and therefor not allowed to carry a gun.

The license is included in the tag. You have to purchase a Conservation license also, which was 3 dollars the last time I had one. But I have not been up there in awhile.
