Nahhhhhhhh. More of a sweatshirt wearing, butt scratching, head to the bar for beer and shots at 3:00 p.m type of flyfisherman.LOL But I do break out the spinning rod on occasion.

I feel ya. 2 years ago I lost everything because of economy and divorce. Had to sell just about everything. I was crushed! But we gotta do what we can to survive. I am heading back to TUcson from Montana next week. My biggest fear is getting a job. Went through what you did. The over qualified speach, people afraid to hire me because they think you will bail on them if something better comes along. Its not as easy to get a job when you are 50. Hang in there. Material things can be replaced eventually, even though it is hard to let them go.

Where has that Wildcat team been for the last 5 games? What a whoopin. Love to watch those bench clearing brawls!

The fish in this particular lake really seem to like the yellow daredevil with the red five of diamonds pattern, but I busted my last one off in a big ole brown trout.But thats another story.........

The bulls are screaming down here in the mountains above Hebgen Lake. Unfortunately, I have some health issues, and will probably not get to chase them this year? Good luck on your hunt!

A hunter was just killed by a Grizzly, in a remote mountain area here in Montana. Up in the Northwest area of the state. Be vigilant if you are hunting in Montana. That makes 3 Grizzly related deaths in this area for the year.

Probably a lion.

Where will you be at? I currently live up by West Yellowstone,MT. Smack dab in the middle of Grizzly central. Don't under estimate bear spray. It works, and you won't have to deal with the feds over a dead Griz. 2 people have been killed by Griz in YNP this summer, neither of which had bear spray.

I have been thinking about unit 27, and all it beauty. It will hurt us all in the short term, but I hope it will benefit the animals and forest in the long run?

Thanks Phil! I will actually be hunting in AZ as a non-resident for the first 6 months. Kinda weird since I hunted AZ for 37 years as a resident.

This area is the flyfishing capital of the world,one of the main reasons I came up here from AZ. But I will be back to Arizona in October. Montana is a great place in the summer, but cold and brutal in the winter.

We were getting snow up until the third week of June. Spring came late this year, and now the summer is almost over. I will be doing some archery elk hunting when the opener hits on labor day weekend. Hope to post some pics from the hunt, even if I dont get one.
