Thats fanatastic. You harvested some great animals, and had a great time to boot. I have heard New Zealand has a awesome "Wow factor". I would love to sample the great flyfishing that they have over there.

Some December mule deer hunts with limited permit numbers. Achery deer in Unit 3A/C is now a draw They added December mule deer to unit 27, decreased 175 tags for the unit 27 November Mule deer hunt, and they have been seriously increasing permits for the Unit 27 October whitetail hunt. Dang it!

Took me about 13 hours to replace ball joints and steering linkage (tie rods). It really tightened up the old clunker. Still need to do a new trac bar and control arm bushings. Got to get it in for an alignment.

Excellent. In case anybody hasn't noticed......I don't like spammers!

Spent today replacing ball joints on my Ram. I ONLY GOT ONE SIDE DONE. What a pain. Thank goodness my brother in law has a 20 ton press in his garage. The ball joint tool I rented at Autozone doesn't work on Dodge 4x4's. If you have never worked on ball joints on a Dodge 4x4, you are missing out on a wonderful experience

I wonder what is going on with all the big dead catfish? Lack of water, food, old age?

As far as the number of views.....if you look at the bottom of the website page....there are always 3 TIMES MORE non-members, than members, viewing this site at any given time. When I return from Montana this fall, I will pledge to help on some volunteer projects in southern Arizona, as I can.

Up in Montana there is some kind of Heron I see on the Madison river in the canyon below Hebgen lake. These birds are by far the best fisherman on the river. They fish with alot of patience.
-
lools like those Heron get a nice feast when the crappie are in shallow.

Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep hunt Question
Snapshot replied to Phil Carr's topic in Bighorn Sheep Hunting
Options are limited in the U.S. Alberta, Canada is an option. However, the Rams are not real big. 160" ish. -
Awesome fish TJ, and some great photos. The "Juan" is a great place with some super quality fish. And here you were trying to tell me you were not a good flyfisherman. I remember the last time I was there was during August. It gets that hairy moss, and slick rocks. I slipped and fell into one of the deep holes. My wife was laughing at me and said all she saw was part of a flyrod sticking out of the water. At least the weather was warm at the time. I have baptized myself in some of the best rivers in the west.

I have spent the last two summers living and working in the West Yellowstone area. It is an awesome place for sure. Flyfishing paradise! I have heard of Noxon, but have never been there. If I do go up, it will be mid May. I am currently in negotiation with a company, but have not formally excepted the offer yet.

Nice pics! I am no expert either, but it looks like a younger bear. I think alot of the bulk is deceptive, because of the long hair of the coat?

SInce 1996 I have owned 4 Dodge rams. 2 new, 2 used. Foutunately, never had any major problems. With the exception of the 2005 quad cab hemi I bought new. It ended up being bought back from me by the manufacturer under the lemon law.

For some reason I was thinking about this issue. If a bank can refuse to do business with a company or person who deals in firearms, could this open the door for the feds? If our wonderful president gets re-elected, could he attack our gun rights through financial institutions? I know it's a long shot, but stranger things have happened.

Goodby old friend...

Nice tribute. All good dogs go to heaven. They will be waiting for us when we arrive! It's tough to lose a good friend. I know! -
I think alot of long range missed shots are a result of "general laziness" in trying to get closer. 17 missed shots? That person needs some seriuos practice. The only time I took more than 3 shots was when I had a broken rear scope mount and didn't know it. Couldn't figure out why I wasn't hitting the deer.
-
Nice bass. What are they hitting?

God forbid that some creep got ahold of her. I hope she is allright. I just wonder how she was taken from her room in the middle of the night.?

Last Sunday I went to the Air show at Davis Monthan Air Force base here in Tucson. BANK of AMERICA had a booth setup with girls trying to lure people into opening an account. IF BofA does not support second amendment rights, why are they on a military base soliciting customers? I find that extremely hypocritical. They don't support gun rights, but they are on an airbase with highly armed military personnel. I guess the military doesn't factor into their business policies? WHat about companies who supply firearms and related products to the military? I hope Bank of America loses alot of customers. But then again, they will just figure out a way to screw their existing ones to make up for the loss. Look what happened with the $5 ATM transaction deal. I would sincerely like to see these types of banks crash and burn.

The tires I just bought are the Cooper Discoverer ATR 265/75/R16. Certainly not the best tire, but they are all I could afford right now. $148.00 each. I read decent reviews on them. Michelins are great tires. Next week I have to replace my ball joints, ties rods/drag link etc. It will be a hard day's work to get it done myself. Are you going on vacation to Montana? I may be going for the summer, if I get everything worked out. Probably 2-3 weeks.

I've got about 185K on my 99 Ram. It's getting worn out, but I like it. It's been a real money pit the last year and a half. Over $3000, just in parts. Maybe I'll tell you the story of what happened when my hood flew open going down the highway last summer in Montana

I had a 96 dodge ram 4x4 with cummins turbo. It chewed up those dang BFG tires. I won't buy BFG's again.

Awesome catch. Reservation Lake...maybe?
