  1. I need to check around for new type boots also. I used Rocky for years but the last pair was a disappointment. Started falling apart after 2 years.

    Father's Day

Great pics TJ, and happy fathers day.Great times, great memories! Even though my father passed on from this life 6 years ago, I miss him dearly, and I would give anything for one more hunt together. I hope I am fortunate enough to be hunting when I am 80! Let the good times roll!

Thats really great to hear that these abusers will be brought to justice. It will send a strong message.

Very true! Sad as well, as you can tell where our society is headed these days . Yes indeed. That's why in November we need to get Obama out of office. Future generations will suffer if we don't.

    Online draw system fails AGAIN!

I bet I have tried over 20 times. I have made it as far as putting in my billing info at least 5 times. Hopefully it is not charging your credit card all those times

    Not Again!

TJ, I think a CWT.com support group maybe in order. CWT anonymous?

    Not Again!

Ouch! Women have a way of putting us in the "Doghouse" for stuff like that. Best advice I could give........ would be some serious sucking up. FLowers. A nice dinner at a good place. A little groveling may be involved. My ex sucked the soul right out of me, so I have no soul left to pray for. But I will certainly pray for yours, my friend! Good luck and happy belated anniversary!

Nice pics. Thats what I call a "catch and release" bear. Give it a couple more years to fatten up.

    South Africa Hunt May 2012

Doctors are kind of strange that way. I once contracted Giardia on an elk hunt in Colorado. I went to see my doctor when I got back, and told her I had Giardia. She told me I didn't know what I was talking about. After another week of suffering, and waiting for test results. They called me and told me I had Giardia. Really! I found a new doctor after that. When I got nailed by a brown recluse, that doctor figured it out right away. Go figure!

    Garmin GPS 40

Garmin GPS 40 ........asking $60.00 (Tucson) I purchased this unit around 1995. Used very little, and is excellent condition. It does not aquire sattelite fix as quick as the newer units, but is still a functional unit. I don't know what I did with the manual. Maybe it could be downloaded off the Internet? Uses 4 AA Batteries.

    Hunting mistakes and misses

Back in the mid 1990's, I was sitting on a ridge looking into a deep canyon that came off the rim, in unit 27. I moved around some trees to get a better view of the upper canyon, but left my rifle and pack up against a tree on the other side 20 yards away. I caught movement out of the corner of my eye, and saw a big mulie buck moving in the bottom of the canyon. Of course my gun was 20 yards away. He must have saw me move, and took off into some thick stuff. I never did get a good bead on him, or ever see him again.

    Investing in Silver

Silver is a very liquid commodity. You can buy physical silver to keep in your safe, or you can buy it on paper in the commodities market. Paper silver is worth less than actualy having bullion in your hand

    Mechanical or Fixed Broadhead

Me too! I remember when mechanical blades first hit the market. I bought, and tried some. I didn't like the little rubber bands, and the blades, when open, had the wingspan of a B-52 bomber.I am a firm believer in Murphy's law.

    What is this

True. The sawed off antlers is questionable. But that many bones in one spot may not indicate a poacher I guess? Road kill sounds reasonable. I have an uncle that used to live in northern Minnesota. He was a poacher, he did it for fun I guess? He would drive the remote farmfields at night with a spotlight. After shooting what he wanted, he would quick load the carcass, and head back to his farm, and hang the deer in the barn. After he was done carving off the meat, he would then dump the carcass at a remote spot in the woods. Game and Fish were on to him, and he finally gave it up. I witnessed this when I was a kid visiting them one summer. Shame on him!
  20. Nice! I am envious of your adventures! Looks like a great time!

    Reservation Lake May 2012

Nice! It's been 5 years since I have been to that lake. Did well on flies. The Peacock Lady is always a sure thing.

    Prayers please.

Wow. I am not sure what to say. Sorry for your loss. I can certainly understand your friends condition. I live with chronic back pain also, but not of the magnitude of Steve. I'm sure it was tough for him, a proud man, with a physical impairment, not being able to do what he loves. Life can be hard, dying is the easy part. I hope you and the family find comfort in the fact that you will all see him again someday...on the other side. Farewell and Godspeed.
