Did you see the one were the liberal media interviewed an old lady from Puerto Rico she said about Romney " I would like to kill him". The ROmney haters are worried their welfare and free food will be taken away. They might actually have to contrbute to society for a change. WOuldn't that be a shocker!

Back to topic. Sorry, but threads like this often get hijacked, and off tangent. I may he a little high horsed at times, however,land and wildlife are a public(in a sense) resource. It is everyone's responsibility to value that resource, and take responsibility if you are using it. The game we hunt does not belong to us until it is on the ground with our tag on it. As sportsman, we also need to be the stewards of these resources. If somebody does something that can affect us, our future, or our rights and privledges, it then becomes our business. The same goes for the guy flinging arrows and injuring 3 elk. Did they track the wounded elk to see if they died. If so, did they report an accidental kill to G&F? If the wounds were even semi serious those 3 elk are most likely dead. Even a non-lethal wound can get infected, and turn septic. Most hunters have probably wounded an animal that was not recoveredI know I have..But that is different than "flock shooting" at elk.

I applaud you for your action. I can imagine the wife's reaction. I have been in that boat before. I have no minor children, so I can afford to be reckless If I had kids with me, it would be harder to be confrontational. However, there was the time a drunk guy tried to pickup on my underage stepdaughter when I was only 6 feet away................

Does that apply just to when you are hunting? Absolutely not............... Just curious. I have no problem confronting people, or making a citizens arrest, if the situation warrants intervention. Dangerous? Yes, but sometimes we need to help out........ or simply to let someone know what they are doing is wrong. The guy that gut shot the elk was soembody I knew, and not a stranger.

IF it wasn't for the liberal left wing media, Romney would crush Obama in a landslide victory. I just don't understand why the media is so biased. Do they not see the damage the current administration is causing. Or are they so liberal they just don't care? The media in itself is just as much to blame for Obama. 47% of Americans are blind sheep, supporting a blind fool.

One thing I can certainly understand, is in the excitement of the hunt, sometimes hunters just make bad decisions when shooting. It happens. I know what my limitations are, and I try and stay within those boundaries. It's not my place to judge someone elses shooting abilities. It comes down to respecting the wildlife, and not using poor judgement that could wound an animal, and make it unrecoverable. A guy told me once about a nice bull elk he had gutshot with an arrow. The bull ran down into a steep canyon, and the guy refused to go after it. He said the canyon was too steep, and it would be too much work to get the bull out. I had a few harsh words to him about his actions and lack of ethics. He shrugged it off as no big deal. One nice bull that probably died under a tree, and went to waste. We all hear it when we are deer hunting. BOOM.....BOOM.....BOOM......BOOM......reload......BOOM.....BOOM.......BOOM.....BOOM.

People have died from carbon monoxide poisoning while sleeping in trailers. This usually happens from portable propane heaters. If you use these at night, you mst leave a window partially open. A campers built-in heater system is vented to the outside, and usually is not a problem. You can get Carbon monoxide detectors/alarms at Home Depot or Lowes for as little as $20. i Installed a bunch of them this spring for a guy that owns some duplexes.

Bring some jack stands if your trailer doesn't have any built in jacks. You will get tired of the trailer wobbling around, when you walk around in it.

But then I was in Montana when it was 20 below zero. Everything froze. Even the holding tanks. Turned into a big block of frozen..........stuff.

The lines all run inside the trailer, would they need to be wrapped inside? It looks like it might be original galvanized pipes in there. Only need to wrap them if the temps are below freezing. Sometimes the lines inside can freeze if its cold enough, Then the water pump won;;t push water unitl the ice thaws in the lines. I wrapped mine wherever I could access them

My Dad had one like yours. Those old trailers are heavy. Make sure you check the condition of the tires. I blew both tires on his, because they were starting to crack between the tread. If you have inside plumbing, wrap the pipes with insulation if it has an internal water pump. ........and always have a spare tire or two for it.

I was down at the MVD getting my AZ drivers license and plates. On my application I changed my address for voting. The lady behind the counter saw were I had put "Republican" for party affiliation.She told me could not wait for Obama to be out of the whitehouse. She also mentioned alot of other people coming through had the same sentiment.

Threads like this open the proverbial "Can of worms" Ethics are "Gray areas" not covered by law, but are imbedded in the human spirit....or not. IMO- Flinging "Hail Mary" arrows at elk, that you bought the night before at Wally World, is not an ethical action, by anyone that would consider themselves a "Sportsman"

Well........DANG! I had a thousand smackeroos saved up for my new bow. But now I have a medical issue with my foot and have to use my bow money for that. Hope I can save up before bow season and get some good practice time in. That will teach me not to sell my old PSE bow so soon.
