I have never purchased a gun from Cabelas. I have made many online purchases over the years and was always satisfied with Cabelas delivery, product, and customer service. However, in this economy, with many small business's trying to survive (I have been there), I always try and spend my money with local small business, or sponsors of this site. If I get s snooty sales person, all I do is find someone else, or head for the door.

Shooting at angles also plays a big factor. Most people practice on level ground, and may not be adjusting their yardage for up, or downhill shots. Just a thought.

I am looking to purchase a lightweight high top hiking shoe/boot for the upcoming archery hunts. Something along the lines of Merrell reflex, or similar. Something lightweight, rugged, and quiet for stalking. Anybody have any suggestions? Does Sportsman's Warehouse carry a good selection? It's been awhile since I have been in there

Thanks. I found an REI store here in Tucson, over on Wetmore road. I am going to stop by there, and try some on. See what type of deals they have. I have purchased Rocky boots in the past, but have been disappointed with the quality of the last couple pair's.

I had my foot digitally scanned at the Orthopedist. I am waiting for January 1st when my company health care benefits kick in. I will be getting the custom made orthotic insert, as well as custom orthotic shoes.

The day after a Cortizone injection I can barely walk. But a few days later it is pretty good.

Yes it does. Some days, I feel like chopping my foot off, it hurts so bad. Time for another Cortizone shot.

Thanks for the info. I use size 12, with a narrow foot. But I have Plantar Faciitis in my right foot and need solid arch support for hiking. I will cruise the REI website and see whats available. I was hoping to keep the cost around $125

Great info guys. My PSE Brute X, has an advertised IBO speed of 320 fps. I shoot at 70lb. draw weight, and a 29.5 inch draw length. What would be the best overall arrow weight for this setup. Something with a good blend of speed, toughness, and good kinetic energy? Would you recommend a 100, or 125 grain broadhead ? I was using 100 grain on my Easton ACC's

I have been checking out some Carbon Express Maxima arrows also. Particularly, the Blue Streak.

That's some crazy stuff. A Cape Buffalo can turn you into an ugly spot on the African soil in a hurry.
