Criminal? Hardly!. Maybe in the eyes of our joke of a legal system. Not disclosing a firearm to an LEO is pretty trivial compared to what they get away with on daily basis. Cops get pissed when you step out of your vehicle during a traffic stop. All you have to do is step out of the vehicle and lock the door. "Am I free to go officer"? An LEO may demand surrender of a weapon for his/her safety during a traffic stop. Running serial numbers after weapon is surrendered, does not fall under the scope of surrendering that weapon and the purpose therein. Running serial numbers under that pretext ,has been deemed a violation of our constitutional rights in a court of law.

What's the craziest thing you have done while out hunting?
Snapshot replied to AZ_SAWBUCK's topic in The Campfire
I tipped over my camp garbage can that had a very large, and very alive, skunk in it. Almost stepped on a rattlesnake curled up in the middle of a sand wash. It looked like a big pile of cow poop. Yes......White men can jump. Not too much crazy stuff in my hunting. -
Carrying a gun would be irrelevant for that thief. Only a man with a death wish, would draw down on ten cops. No cop is above the law. The whole thing will get glossed over, just like it always does. Cops stick together, and the guy will probably get a promotion out of it. It is a growing trend in this country, ruled by King Wannabe Obama, where, "Due Process", is failing miserably. The bullying and intimidation tactics used by any entity, or, authority, is something "We the people" need to stand up too, and crush it before it is too late. I got pulled over for a traffic violation. The Cop asked me if I had any Guns or illegal substances in my truck. You want to know what's in my truck, get a friggin search warrant. And no.....I will not turn over my gun to allow you to run a serial number check. One thing a lot of people don't realize is most cops don't care much about your traffic violation, they pull you over with the intention of finding out more about you and what you may have in your automobile and any other possible misdemeanors they can get out of it. A good arrest record is what get's them promoted. I don't have anything against cops, I do despise the system.

Paranoid cop pulling the trigger..........But one less thief in this world, doesn't hurt my feelings any.

Those 239 beans are the reason I fart so loud in the middle of the night, that I wake myself up.

Some people were dubbing it "The Marijuana Bowl".

At the start of the NFL season, I picked the Bronco's, and 49'ers making it to the Super Bowl, with Denver coming out on top. The 49'ers should have had that game last night. Regardless of Sherman's antics, I am an NFC guy, and will be pulling for the Hawks.

Happy Birthday, you Wascal Wabbit. Hope all is well in your corner of the world. Love all your great photographs! Peace!

At least Congress will be exempt from getting elk tags. Middle class folks will be paying more for elk tags, so the "Po folk" can get theirs cheap

Nice. Congratulations to you and your lovely wife. Hope everything works out. Hopefully big brother will not get too jealous with the new edition to the family

I will be putting in for that hunt as well. Have been drawn for it once in 2005. Most of the good bulls migrate off the top before the hunt starts. Best hunting will be down in the canyons, and ridges. Lots of camps at the popular trail heads. This hunt requires a lot of boot leather. Horses / mules are a huge plus. 18% draw odds, and a 63% harvest for that hunt last year. As usual, G&F is adding more permits, when they shouldn't . If you want to hire an outfitter, contact DC outfitters, they run a base camp down on the Blue, and use horses to travel and pack out. There may be some guy's on this site you can hire?

I used to ride my quad in there when I lived just north of there. Glassed a lot of Coues on that Pyramid, as well as a very large black bear eating prickly pear fruit.

How's about a "Let's Bash The AZG&FD" section ???

2013 December Coues Success **UPDATED** with Pics and Story
Snapshot replied to azffhunter's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Nice write up, and pics. Gotta love those December hunts. -
When it comes to ASU, I have to use my favorite spoon.
-
ASU fans will be clinging to that 58-21 win for years to come. "Remember when ASU beat the U of A..... 58-21? BLAH.....BLAH....BLAH........Remember when.....BLAH.....BLAH.....BLAH.........." God forbid what we would have to listen to if ASU had a number 1 ranked basketball team.

Unit 27 December Hunt, last minute success!
Snapshot replied to ScottAdams's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Excellent buck, and a job well done. You sure know how to get it done on that late Unit 27 hunt. -
Nice!

Mentioning ASU, is like saying "Beetlejuice" three times.

Some of us old farts, are still old school, when it comes to "Guttin" animals.
-
It is said that hunting happiness, is a large gut pile. I agree. I just don't want to be up to my elbows in that gut pile. I use the latex cleaning gloves that go all the way to the elbow. It eliminates most of the crusty nastiness that follows a gutting. I have never tried the gutless method, although I will next season.

Dang....there is enough bone on that skull for three deer.

Very nice. I hope Dan's family is doing O.K.

Great buck. Lots of character on that rack. Certainly a great Christmas eve hunt.
