I hear you. Monster energy is one of my bad habits....but hey.... there are worse things a guy could be doing. As far as clothing, what another person wears is no concern of mine, even if I do get a chuckle out of some attire. However, when I see someone with shifty eyes, baggy pants, and a hoody, pulled up on the head, my brain always goes to DEFCON 2, and my hand always seems to drift closer to my M&P.

That is one cool looking cat.

I don't use trail cams, but I always wonder what cool animal photos I might get if I did.

I was fishing the Madison river inside Yellowstone park a few years ago. A coyote was running along the bank of the river. You should have seen all the people pulling over and running out of their cars with cameras, thinking it was a wolf. It was pretty comical.

Some guys use a hunting trip to get away from the wives and kids ......I get that. but if your family is interested in going, take em along. At least once in awhile. You never know how long we will be around to do it.

I think it's great if girls want to take up hunting, and be a part of the camp experience. It's a great time, and experience ,for everyone, regardless of gender. I always invited my wife(ex) to go hunting or, just come to deer camp. It wasn't her thing. so I didn't press the issue. A person is into it, or not. One of my favorite vacations was the summer outing in Greer. Taking the girls fishing is rewarding, even if they have the attention span of a 2 year old.

Yes, Bears do poop in the woods. I've stepped in it a time or two.

My carry gun is a S&W M&P .40. I like it.

When I was in Montana, a resident could get a Sportsman license, It included Deer, Elk, Bear, Small game, upland bird hunting, fishing, and conservation fees for $85.00. Excellent deal for a resident.

I quit going to the meetings. The last 2 that I attended some years back left a sour taste in my mouth. They were run by arrogant comissioners who didn't want to be there in the first place, and they didn't seem to care much about Sportsman opinion. Some guys even got up and walked out. "Dog and Pony show" comes to mind. Maybe that has changed a little? I don't really know.

Not everyone here is well heeled. Some of us just get by. I drive a beat up old Dodge, because I can't afford a new truck. I can not put in for alot of hunts, because I can't afford to do so. I work very hard at my 40 hour job, and unfortunately, being on call, I cannot work 2 jobs. Although I have worked 2 jobs, and many 16 hour days in the past, Been there, done that. The case in point of this topic, is that we should not have to go on a diet of macoroni and cheese, or Ramen noodles, simply to fatten the coffers of a State or Federal agency, with our hard earned money.
