Quite an exciting day. Thought I would share a positive outcome of an on the run criminal. I was working at an Apartment complex helping do some drywall damage repair from roof leaks. I was walking to the maintenance shop, and noticed that all the driveways were full of Police cars, about 6 of them. I talked to an LEO, who said they chased a guy into the complex that just robbed, or stole something from Wal-Mart. They had the place surrounded, and he was somewhere in the complex. They gave me a description of him, and I said I would keep a look out. I figured the guy was long gone, but the LEO insisted that the perp was on property. Anyway, I know this property well, and all the hiding spots, so I started looking in the big Evergreen bushes in front of the units. They are fairly large bushes. When I checked the third bush, I found this dude tucked up in the bush like a rabbit hiding from a Coyote. I started yelling to the Cops who were about 80 feet away. This dude is telling me to STFU, while trying to disengage himself from the bush, meanwhile I'm yelling at him, ready to play NFL linebacker if he bolted, 3 cops came charging down the sidewalk and gang tackled this dude as he got out of the bush on the opposite side of me. They told me to stand clear as he may be armed. Ended up being a lock blade knife. They thanked me for my help, and hauled this scumbag tweaker to jail. Hopefully he will be spending a few years behind bars.

6 Squad cars had the place surounded, and 3 LEO's were just starting a foot search. They had just cleared the front office and fitness room and were moving on to search other areas. The dude was hiding in a bush directly below a unit I was working on. I just got the idea in my head to check all the big bushes in that area of the complex. I just searched there before the Cops did. No big deal. I was just happy to help the good guys, catch the bad guy. Snap you got the idea in your head??? Nice job.......I remember couple years ago when I got done with a similar situation I got to thinking afterwards.....what the heal was I thinking, that guy coulda had a gun........ Sometimes I don't always have the best ideas. I wasn't about to grab my pistol with Cop's all over the place. The other guy's are calling me a bloodhound for sniffing this guy out. I just had a hunch. Us hunters know how to find stuff.

    Affordable Car Act

Red is a great color, so I'm feeling pretty happy tonight watching the Lamestream media squirm. Just sharing a little humor. The Affordable CAR Act of 2014- New Law Mandates Cars For Everyone… The U.S. government has just passed a new law entitled “The Affordable CAR Act” declaring that every citizen MUST purchase a new car by June 5, 2014. These ‘affordable’ cars will cost an average of $54,000-$155,000 each. This does not include taxes, tags, registration, fuel, maintenance, or repair costs. This law has been passed because, until now, typically only wealthy and financially responsible people have been able to purchase cars. This new law ensures that every American can now have an ‘affordable’ car of their own, because everyone is ‘entitled’ to a new car. If you purchase your car before the end of the year, you will receive four ‘free’ tires (does not include mounting). In order to make sure everyone purchases an ‘affordable car,’ the cost of owning a car will increase on average of 250-400% per year. This way, wealthy people will pay more for something that other people don’t want or can’t afford to maintain. But, to be fair, people who can’t afford to maintain their car will be regularly fined and children (under the age of 26) can use their parents car(s) to drive until they turn 27, after which date they must purchase their own car. If you already have a car, you can keep yours (not really). If you don’t want or don’t need a car, you are required to buy one anyhow. If you refuse to buy one or can’t afford one, you will be regularly fined $800 until you purchase one, or face imprisonment. If you cannot (or don’t want to) purchase an ‘affordable car’ from a private business, you can buy a starter car from the U. S. government ‘affordable car exchange.’ Such a car will have the basic necessities and will only cost ‘slightly more’ than a similar car purchased from a private business. Plus, since your tax dollars will subsidize the purchase of a car from the U. S. government’s ‘affordable car exchange,’ it will appear that you are getting a good deal. Failure to use the car will also result in fines. People living in areas with no access to roads are not exempt. Pre-existing conditions such as age, motion sickness, experience, knowledge, nor lack of desire are not acceptable excuses for not using your car. A government review board will decide everything, including when, where, how often, and for what purposes you can use your car, along with how many people can ride in your car. The board will also determine if one is too old or healthy enough to be able to use their car, and will also decide if your car has out lived its usefulness or if you must purchase specific accessories like spinning rims or a newer and more expensive car. Those that can afford luxury cars will be required to do so … it’s only fair. The government will also decide the color for each car. Failure to comply with these rules will result in fines and possible imprisonment. Government officials are exempt from this new law. If they want a car, they and their families can obtain cars free at the expense of tax payers. This includes lifetime maintenance and automatic adjustments for fuel charges. Unions, bankers, and mega companies with large political affiliations ($$$), Muslims and Amish are also exempt.

Any bulls still running with cows?

I had the late archery Bull hunt in unit 27, 5 years ago. Saw smaller bulls still running with the cows. That was mid November. A couple of those bulls with the cows were nice 5 x 5's. The big bulls were off by themselves.

    What IF....

Cool rifle And waxing nostalgic. Good stuff! I remember when my Dad and I first started hunting deer in the mid-1970's. He bought me a Remington 788 in .308, but didn't have enough money for his own rifle, so he borrowed a 30-30 from someone. It had open sights. One morning he was cooking us breakfast at camp and I grabbed that 30-30 to do a quick hunt around camp, and I jumped a mulie buck a few hundred yards out of camp. I missed that buck with the 30-30, as I had never shot it before.

    ABSOLUTE SLOBS!!!!!!

Misunderstanding. I was commenting on Ctafoya's comment about his unit. It is a shame that people disrespect the land. Hunters, and non-hunters alike. I've seen it for over 40 years of hunting and it has increased exponentially with the slob society. Kudos to you for picking some of it up.
