36B Hassles
anthonyrmatthews replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Never hunted that side of the road. I hunt 36C, and ALWAYS glass up some illegals in there. I just mind my own and stay away. I make sure I lock everything up, thou! A buddy that hunts the B side said the problems are just as bad on that side of the road. Good luck, and have fun on that hunt! -

I try and call them dogs in any chance I get. It is not only fun, but great practice as well! -

Sorry, I accidentally posted this in a different forum. I am new to bear hunting, wondering what you all thought of this bear??? Thanks for the advice guys!!!
-
Thank you all for the advice. So, any advice on how to try and watch this bear to hunt him? I mean should I stay high and just glass the whole area, or get in there and try and find where he is bedding. I think I might know where he may water. Do bears cover lots of country, or is there a good chance he is still around? Hope these are not too many questions. Like I said, I am trying my best to learn. Thank you so much!

Yes, Thanks to all of you that help make this site what it is! I don't ask questions on MM because of the bashing that goes on. Here I ask questions and you all do your best to offer your advice. Thank you!!!

WoW! This is a very interesting chat! I was raised in Williams, AZ. I now live down the road in Parks, AZ. I spend a LOT of time in the woods. I really enjoy reading responses from all of you. I learn something every day. I am a Firefighter, so I only have to work like 3 days a week. This gives me lots of time to play in the forest. Would like to someday become a guide. Thanks for all the info. you all so kindly share. Anthony

I have the Swaro's 10 x 42 SLC's. I had the swaro adapter for them, but didn't like it at all. It would always get stuck, and when I would get excited to look at a deer or something it would be stuck and I would have to pull my knife out to open them. Anyway, the adapter fell off my tripod in the bushes somewhere. I lost it, and now am looking for suggestions on something else that may be better to use as an adapter from my bino's to tripod. Thanks guys!!!

%$&^#$% Camera Thief
anthonyrmatthews replied to Big Browns's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
I had a close call last weekend. I hiked down to the bottom of a canyon to put one of my cams up and realized I had forgotten the lock to it. I ended up tying it to the tree with some string I had in my pack, and figured I would come back in a couple of days. I didn't think anyone ever went to this spot that I have been watching, because I have been in there several times and never even seen human tracks. Well, when I went back I found that somebody had been in there because I had a mugshot of them opening up my camera. I am sure they looked at the pics on the SD card, but atleast they were a "sportsman" about it and left my camera there. I am VERY thankful that the person didn't walk away with it. If you happen to be on here, because I know you are a "sportsman" because you left my cam there. I want to say Thank You! -
36C November Tag!!!
anthonyrmatthews replied to anthonyrmatthews's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Monty, Yes, I did get lucky enough to get this tag again this year! Did you or your son get it? -
Did get some good rain in Unit 10 today! Everywhere is getting wet right now! Hope it keeps coming, we need it!
-
Unit 8 has been getting some rain in the southern part of the unit, but seems the more west you go it is still dry!
-
I got my first muzzleloader tag. It's for Unit 8 cow elk! I have hunted with everything else, but this is the first time I get to hunt with my smokepole! Who else got these tags?
-
I have to agree with Grong about the archery hunt being awesome! Just have to do some footwork. The rifle hunt can be fun also, just tough to get away from other hunters. You may think you have a place to yourself, and some road hunter drives up on you. Anyhow, I would take a tag there any day. Am taking a hunter in there this year for the rifle hunt.

How many of you got drawn for 36C??? I hunted it a couple of times, and have had a blast out there. Lots of immigrants is the only thing!! Once had to camp by myself, and I could hear them walking below me. A little scary! What do you all do??? Any suggestions on areas to check out???
