Well......what can I say, but that it's been a great year for me! The Lord has blessed me, and I was lucky enough to draw a rifle bull tag this year, and hunt with my brother and my best friend. My best friend and I seen 11 bulls on opening morning and decided we would harvest 2 of them. We killed our bulls within 100 yards of each other at 8:00 in the morning and didn't get the last load of meat back to the truck until dark. It took us over 9 hours to pack them out. We had an experience together that we will always be able to cherish, and that is what it's all about in my book. I hope you enjoy the pictures and once again-Thank you for such an awesome forum!

Hello, I found out that this is my lucky year! I drew the unit 9/10 sheep tag this year. I am just wanting to know what you guys would recommend as far as books to learn from. I have never had the opportunity to hunt bighorns before, and I want to prepare myself to the fullest extent for this once in a lifetime chance. It looks like this is a tough hunt, looks like in the last 5 years only 2 rams have been killed here. I am not looking for a guide, just some input from guys that have experience on things I should do to prepare myself. Thank You

Thanks for all the information that you all have shared so far. I was able to get ahold of Garth, and he was very helpful. A very nice guy he is! I really appreciate all the support you all are sharing. Thank You! -
Arthur- Congrats on a beautiful animal. I have admiration for the way you were able to accomplish such a task on a D-I-Y hunt. Great job and hope to talk with you soon!

I am studying to take the exam to get my guide license. I was looking for any input from members that have taken the test in the past. Does anybody know of any places that have practice tests for this? Thanks for your input!
-
Good Job Clay! I passed my test too, but have to wait for the license to get done. Just want to say "Thank You" to you all for the help with these questions!
-
Good luck on the test Clay!

Could it have been an archery bull? I know there are archery bull and cow tags that coincide with each other.

FIRST TIME APPLICANT SUCCESS SYNDROME???
anthonyrmatthews replied to GodIsGood's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
THIS YEAR, I got drawn AGAIN, this time for 5b Archery bull in the rut with NO BPs, but I invited a friend from church who as NEVER been hunting - just like me 9 years ago - and we got drawn? Congrats on getting a tag!!! -
Thank you for the input on this test. I really appreciate the help!

Congrats on getting a tag! Unit 10 can be a fun hunt, but can also get real frustrating quick. I would recommend spending as much time as possible familiarizing with the unit. I drew a bull tag in Nov. in that unit, and will be scouting every opportunity that I have. Which hunt do you have? I grew up in the area, and still feel like I may never be able to get to know the whole unit. It is a very big unit, and has everything from big pine trees, to flats of sagebrush. Good luck to ya and keep us posted!
