Yes take this advice... Don't split them up... I have consistent calling and decoying success every fall. Turkeys are very vocal in the fall. In the fall I use 3-5 DSD decoys including the jake and have birds come in hard and engage the decoys in the fall. I've had groups of toms in the fall come in fast and whoop on the jake decoy like it was spring.. Fall tho is about finding birds then setting up.. Try and locate travel routes or an area they hit when they come off the roost to.. If you find a roost in the fall you should have action.

turkey are very vocal birds all year round and yes you can call in Toms in the fall, the call that works best for me in the fall is the gobbler yelp.

Into the second week of my season here in Nor Cal and I'm tagged out. All 3 birds killed between 13-18 yards, no blind, and 0-8 yard recoveries. I love hunting turkeys without a blind calling them into close range and timing my draw just right to not be detected. Also maybe no prettier place in the country to hunt turkeys even if I am biased ... Here's some pics... Good luck to everyone this spring.

And also rios according to the Nwtf maps
-
Brademan, they're all rios. Some of them do have some darker colors but in this area we get some unique colors due to the iridescence off/and the lush habitat. Also no easterns anywhere close to this area.
