323 5/8" has nice front 4 and weak on top

I am surprised to read about the Savage model 99's that are out there. My dad has shot the 99 in .308 cal since the 60's. I thought he had the only one in the world. He has a 3 power scope on it that he bought from Yellow Front (remember that store). The only thing you can see through it is the dust particles on the other side of it. If anyone has a savage 99 in the .243 or .308 cal that would like to sell let me know.

How much meat could you possibly ruin if you hit him in the rib cage anyways. One extra rib?? Oh 2? I have seen a mule deer spike take 5 rounds from a .223 from an uncle before I put him down for good with my .243. And have seen a good friend put 3 rounds in a 2 point from a 22-250 and then track him for 3 hours in the night and cut his throat to finally kill him. I also saw my brother shoot an 85" coues in the rump with a 30-06 and put him down for good. I like small calibers that i can whip out of the saddle and shoot. In my opinion impact is key.

Which hunt did you draw in Unit 27? I have hunted this unit all of my life and quads aren't very usefull hunting there.

hey scott what is the trick on getting the camera to focus through the binos I have a set of 12x50 Leica and just a plain ol digital camera. Do I need a better set up? And where can I find a set of those binoculars? And how much do they cost? Are they pretty clear?

I have been shooting a .243 all of my life and looking to get a new rifle. I really like the .270 and am wondering what kind of knock down power it has on bigger animals like elk. The country we hunt in you either get them at 40 yds or 400yds and most of the time you only get 1 shot.

WELL SAID Mr. Quimby, What exactly are you guys angry about??? Have you forgotten the management from the AZGFD that got these herds to their present status?? I hunt all over the state and think the animal herds are flourishing. Unless you know the facts, it is very unfair to imply or say these things on a "probably" basis. The AZGFD will not be the downfall of hunting in AZ. It is here because of them.

I have an old 30.06 of my fathers that the stock needs to be refinished on and cleaned. Any good shops around? How much do you think it will cost?

My brother said that one of his ranchers has granted him permission for her to hunt on his land. He has 9 sections and says that there has been no one hunting on that land for years and years. He was saying that during the surveys that they saw 2 different herds of over 70 deer on that land. If anyone has drawn a 27/28 WT I saw 2 that were at least in the 90" range, velvet may have fooled me but shooters by most standards.

I know where you are talking about H4H. Did you draw any tags this year? I drew a Unit 27 tag. Still gonna hunt these canyons next month. My niece drew that area for the Jr.'s hunt.

Awesome pictures!!! That is why Unit 27 is my favorite Unit. I was born and raised hunting and fishing in this area. Did I hear someone say that they got a 27 archery bull tag????

Have you guys seen those tent cots at Cabelas? Has anyone every used one? Wondering if they are worth the money

Has anyone compared prices and merchandise at these two stores. Who has better prices or choices? I moved away from the valley about 3 years ago because I hate the city but I almost wish I still lived there since the Sportsmens Warehouse, Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops have moved in. Which do you prefer.
