Awesome pics!! Congrats to the team. Is that the arrow sticking out of him in the 5th picture down???

Awesome find!!! Don't think it's a 370 though!!

Whisker Biscuit = friction. I use the rip cord drop away, keeps the arrow in perfect place while hunting.

What Ammo To Use in my new .270 Rem Short Mag?
drgonzales replied to monstercoues's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Please report. Are you guys satisfied with the .270 short mags? Does it kick much? Will it knock down an elk at 500 yards? I am gonna guy a rifle in the next year and it will either be a .270 or a .270 short mag. -
My first rifle was an open sighted 1911 Eddystone 30-06 of my grandfathers from WW2. He also had a Savage 99 .243 and .308 lever action, the rifles were identical, you had to read the engraving to tell them apart. My dad still shoots the .308 and has taken a lot of coues, muley's and elk with, the .243 was supposed to be mine but my Tata traded it for a mule before he died so my Nana could haul wood. That is why I am looking for one to buy. I remember my first year hunting with that rifle me and my cousin Dave had mule deer tags and this rifle must have weighed about 100lbs ( to a couple of 10 year old kids) I bet that rifle is about 6 feet tall. We didn't have another rifle so we had to share it. We fought with each other trying to make eachother carry the rifle while we were hunting but fought for it when we saw a deer. We both ended shooting deer with that rifle about 10 minutes apart. My first rifle and probably my fondest memory of hunting. I still have that 30-06, one time I took it to have it cleaned in Phoenix and the guy behind the counter said he would trade any brand new rifle with any scope he had for that rifle and it spooked me so I took my rifle home and bought a safe to put it in. Switchbacks cam is awesome but I don't have $$$ like he does. I'll try to find that S2 in town but if not I'll buy that Sony with the Zeiss lens. -
How much difference is there from the .270 and .280. Aren't they pretty close to the same?

I need to get myself a good camera to take some good photos like you guys. Anyone have any suggestions? -
I suppose when I am 90 years old or so I will start putting for cow, but until then nothing but BULLS for me, even if you have to wait its worth it. If you keep putting in for cow that is all you are gonna get. Last years Unit 27 Archery Bull.

I have seen this buck in real life. The picture doesn't do it justice but it does pretty well.

I was a foreman running Bashas' Distribution Center and University of Phoenix online center before I left. I was also on Chandler Regional Hospital Expansion. There was a new foreman that was doing a brand new CCV on Happy Valley and he ran it to the ground before they fired him. I spent Saturdays and Sundays up there for a couple months trying to catch up. Where do you work now?
-
Not sure! What jobs were you on and who was the foreman? I think I started at Broadway 101 with Gutterud for a few months then went to Wells Fargo Bank in Scottsdale with Acosta after that I pretty much stayed on the Bashas' projects.( Distribution center, Freezer expansion, logistics tracking systems and a couple of stores). I must say I enjoyed the time I spent there, a pretty decent bunch of guys.
